Exactly, in 4:05 he places probably the single gear on the way up. (Therefore actually don't understand why he took half ropes when he has just one protection but Pete knows, he's the master of the sport :) )
Funny to see how wearing a harness and attaching yourself to a rope gives you a false sense of security and the necessary mind set to climb when in fact if you fall from the roof's crux no pads would safe your legs or back. Absolutely nuts ascent Pete, wow.
