He makes it more complicated than it needs to be. In a nutshell, insulin stores glucose, and when there is too much glucose in the body, the body resist insulin wanting to put more glucose in the fat, organs, muscles, etc. you can lower insulin by lowering glucose.

It still amazes me how the insulin related health problems are so wide spread and there are still people completely ignorant to what insulin does. Almost like there is no incentive to teach them.

More like there is no incentive to tell everyone about it because there's no benefit compared to other things. Blame capitalism. Money is god and the ways to get it are most of the time not related to human well being.

@@TheGoodContent37 That's what I meant. Pretty much every chronic non-genetic metabolic disease is related to insulin resistance.

What amazes me is that people think that a category of people making a great living by caring of sick people would wish the same population to be healthy. An healthy man is like a dead man, a missed opportunity for medical professional. The gold standard is a long term disease with a lot of care during a lot of years. Medical recommendations are not in your best interest if there is not a strong instrument of control over the people making them.

@@jeanmartin963 Yeah, the only way to protect yourself is knowledge about how everything inside you works and willingness to implement these preventive measures. But the vast majority of people aren't willing to sacrifice some momentary comforts and vices and are thinking in the back of their minds that doctors will "cure" them. So naive..

@@Leonhart_93 You are right but that is not what I am talking about. I am talking about the fact that the medical recommendations of the nineties of to stay healthy is followed, would have lead to metabolic disease. Like eat trans fat in margarine and not butter, do not eat eggs, do not eat avocado, do not eat almonds, eat sugar for breakfast like your cereal an a glass of orange juice, refined flour is ideal...
