Peter Capaldi was truly a fantastic Doctor. His passion shone through more than any other actor and we were so lucky to get him. All hail the twelfth Doctor!
@@jorgmintel3060 always a great doctor tho I can't say honestly that I personally put him in the same level as those four he always felt like he didn't have the same love and caring self that the doctor has when he's at his best
Now there is a man living the dream. He was such a big fan as a kid he was known by name by people at the BBC. And now he is the Doctor. Hope he stays in the roll for some time.
@@tonk82 Looking back now, it was pretty good… After seeing what we got from Chibnall, I appreciate Capaldi way more. I loved season 9 the most - and a fair few from season 8. Genuinely didn’t like him while he was the doctor, but now, I love him. Wish we got more of him though
Capaldi was an absolutely amazing Dr, his speech in "Zygon Inversion" was stunning and what he did did to save Clara due to his duty of care was heartbreaking
Peter Capaldi is, for me, at least, the greatest actor to step into the shoes of the Doctor. The man can say more in a glance than most actors can in an entire monologue, and when he DOES monologue, I'm just transfixed. He brought gravitas and humor, class and silliness, and above all, a certain elegance to the role. The man is an absolute legend.
@@iztasticbachman9578 John Hurt was also fantastic as the War Doctor - John Hurt was a magnificent actor himself - and maybe if I had more time with him beyond just the one special he was in (okay, two if you're being charitable, but that was literally just his voice and a blurry reflection) I'd like him more, but as things stand, Peter Capaldi is the best for me.
@@SerathDarklands John Hurt is a legend for sure. But there's something about Peter that stands out from the rest, and not just in Doctor Who but acting in general. He's a legend in his own right.
@@iztasticbachman9578 Yeah, I've only seen him in a few other things - In the Loop, The Suicide Squad, and World War Z - but he's always absolutely fantastic.
*Face Of Boe:* "It's coming back through the darkness, Doctor." *Doctor:* "You mean...Gallifrey?" *Face of Boe:* "What? No! Your fan letter from when you were a boy." *Doctor:* "NO! GOD NO! ANYTHING BUT THAT! "
Where The 12th Doctor has Scrubblitis with the stuff on his chalkboard, Peter Capaldi has Doddlitis with his artwork. He always takes some time to doddle or draw, since art is his 2nd passion.
@@schoolingdiana9086 What are you talking about?? That's not how that works. At most he could have improvised some lines here and there, but he wouldn't have the ability to change the story.
There was a BBC sitcom starring Hugh Laurie playing a doctor, Peter Capaldi as his MD office partner, and Benedict Cumberbatch as Hugh's son. It was called 'Fortysomething'.
Denzel Washington: How old were you when this? Peter Capaldi looks to Grahan Norton: Oh don't even oh 21! Yep Peter Capaldi IS The Doctor. He lied! LOL
Graham Norton there, as tactful as ever :D Poor Peter though! He really needs to do a Nerdist Podcast where he can be properly interviewed by fellow geeks.
I love Peter Capaldi!!! He’s so sweet and so funny….he’s just a great guy!! But those pics….😂😂 it was a different time so I’ll give him that! But he truly is an icon and he will always be the greatest doctor in my book!!
the smile at 3:42 just looks like that "hello sweetie" scene in the husbands of river song. that smirk he gives after river is flustered when he teases her
My first exposure to Peter Capoldi was though the British show called "The Thick Of It" which has a load of swearing (its also very funny) so when I saw that Peter Capoldi was playing The Doctor, I was so excited but also couldn't contain my laughter XD
Massive missed opportunity to have those two outfits as discarded Clothing choices after he regenerated. They almost look like alternate universe Dr Who costumes.
I spent a lot of time going back and forth... when I say 'a lot' I anguished for days if Peter Capadi was the right man. When he published his video to Thomas, I instantly knew this man is the Doctor. Compassion and kindness are the hallmarks of the Doctor. I am privileged to witness Peter Capaldi in the role of the Doctor.
"That's TERRIBLE! I can't even IMAGINE the BBC let that happen!" "I know - making YOU the Doctor can only encourage copycat behaviour in like-minded obsessives!" "I meant letting the Dalek comment pass uncontested." "Oh - yes, of course you meant that. Yes, terrible that - terrible..."
A word and a term unknown to the americans: Anorak, "anorakness". . Of course you can understand by context the meaning. From what I've read it began with the train otakus in northern UK that had to be adequately dressed for trainspotting while battling the elements
