I listened to 10,000 Volts in full recently and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it throughout. I felt like most of the songs had something worth listening to, and the highs (10,000 Volts, Up in the Sky, Back in my Arms Again) felt really high with no relative lows And that Sammy Hagar joke killed me
@ That’s a great way to put that. I think we can agree it’s definitely better than Cherry Medicine and Constantly Cute away, those two songs join the ranks of Dolls off Frehleys Comet for being the worst Ace songs.
Every time I hear a song from 10,000 Volts on my Pandora, I think I'm listening to the same song over and over again. Criss Cat is the only solo album of Peter's that I own because it's the only one I like.
“Life of a stranger” is on the album because the producer didn’t like the idea that Ace had: covering The Outfield’s “Your love”. Now THAT would have been cool!! The producer gave that info in a Three sides of the coin interview. I wanted to punch my screen when I knew about the change of covers. Not only I’m a huge fan of The Outfield, but also the singer and leader had passed away recently. It would have been a nice homage
I always liked the albums by Peter Criss, because they have nothing to do with the hardrock of the albums by his former band. This album by "Criss" is a very nice hardrock album, in my opinion. The sound is a little weird, but the songs are good, in my opinion - again. Luckily, I found the 5-track-EP-CD with two other "new" tracks ("The Cat" and "What You're Doin'") in a german record shop in '94. To make a long story even longer, I have to tell you about my opinion about Ace's new album......... sorry, I forgot the title of this mess....... oh, it must be "2 Volts" or something like that. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan of Ace Frehley, but his new album is a waste of plastic! Some songs are okay, but most of them are just throwaway tracks. Maybe he shouldn't have worked with this Steve-Brown-Guy - who knows. I'm glad that the album by CRISS won your ranking as well as mine! I will go and listen to "Out Of Control" now.
