I was late to the Kiss show as I was born in 1976. First time I saw the original lineup was in 1996. I hate to hear how they don't really get along but Peter Criss is a standup God loving gentleman. Great guy!

The only drummer I can think of that would play a part of his solo with sticks and then went to mallets was Nick Mason from Pink Floyd. Peter revolutionize that s*** man he was awesome on his solos, he didn't play around with those solos man he would use that whole kit

BAKURA'S PLANET he had just rejoined KISS a few months prior to this, he was actually on Rove live with Gene & Paul in late 2002 & he did a press conference with Gene & Paul where someone asked where Ace was, they just said they hoped he would be joining them.

It's great to listen to Peter's answers and hear his point of view on past events and situations. He seems really happy and has a positive attitude and great outlook on life and for the future. He shows genuine respect and great appreciation toward his fans. Seems like a super- nice guy. He's the only member of the original 4 I haven't had the opportunity to meet yet. W Great show but it would have been better if a few mics were made available for the audience members to use when questioning Peter. It's really hard to hear some of them. I agree half way!!! Peter definitely was the best voice in the band, and he was without a shadow of a doubt the best drummer as well? U-tube old Black Diamond, Hard Luck woman, Detroit Rock City, Cold Gin, and Beth and blah, blah, the list goes on!!!! Catman period
Anyone who ever said Peter wasn't a great drummer are full of shit!!! He is technically sound and awesome, he came from a jazz big band swing background jazz and blues type of background, but just because a drummer doesn't hit the drums wildly and loud, doesn't make other drummers great!!! Neil Peirt who god rest his soul said that Peter Criss is actually a great drummer and technically sound and has by far the best voice of any drummer, and he never hits the drums the same way twice, which is a compliment!!! Peter Criss, the best voice ever in KISS, the soul of the band was lost when he left. Not many drummer's have influenced other's the way he did,,,very few. There's Keith Moon, Neil Smith, ol John Bonham and this man right here. You may here he's a shitty drummer, that he can't keep time, its jealousy and hatred. I don't agree at all. Peter Criss is nothing special as a drummer at all, and that's a fact. You might like him personally but he is nothing special. No sense of tempo and plays very basic.
The only reason anyone talks shit about peter is because gene and paul did that after the reunion tours. No one ever talked shit about any of the original members before that.
Kiss had multiple replacements in the band. What you see now isn't the members that used to be . Kiss is run by the management.they make the lions share. The pitiful version of kiss now are merely employees and always were. With contracts.
Intheevening 123 Ace Frehley and Peter Criss cannot hold a note or a beat in comparison to Tommy or Eric Singer, I respect Peter and Ace for being the original members, but there no comparison that's the truth.

In 5th grade a boy brought a KISS ALIVE album to school. When I seen the cover, it was on then. KISS was like super heroes.love their music.i was hooked...got my mom to buy me my first KISS album..DESTROYER.and I love to watch peter play the drums..like his make up.lovred his hair.wanted to be like him.tryed to learn to play the the drums...well dnt. Pan out. But peter you all ways been my favorite..out of all of em. Peter gets a lot of shit, even more than Ace, but they both still have love and respect for the other 2 original KISS members regardless of how they have treated him over the years. I see their points and yes as a musician myself I know how hard it is to have to wrangle your bandmates to record or do gigs. And I get that they are telling the story of the past in the books in particular, but one would think that after all this time they wouldn't be so resentful and self righteous. Paul did plenty of partying and shitty things too (ie the nazi uniform incident) and Gene is a sex addict but they don't get as much shit from Ace or Peter. They are more forgiving and wise. Paul especially tears Ace and Peter a new one any time he gets the chance, Gene downs them too. To me that's extremely crappy especially since they do it to this day (2022) and as previously stated it has been *decades* since they all played together. Still salty over shit that happened 40 and 50 years ago pretty much lol idk why they're like this. They made plenty of money regardless.. I love Peter's voice especially on hard luck woman, strange ways, and beth and black diamond.
Andy Vargyas I just finished Paul’s book and boy did he throw Peter under the buss. I wonder how much of what he said was true. I really find it hard to believe that Peter forgot how to play the skins as Pail suggests. I liked the book but in my opinion much of it was bullshit.
Gerard Draetta it’s bullshit, watch some videos of Peter playing drums from 1992-95, he was played great at his own shows, he was even doing great drum solos, they made him dumb down his solo as a tribal solo.
Unless we have someone who can really do an in depth, thoroughly researched documentation of the truth of this band (ala Mark Lewisohn with the Beatles), we won't know the full story. At least not while any of them are alive. Peter and Paul were super close back in the beginning. For that to be the opposite case today speaks volumes.

After Peters success with the song Beth, he thought he was going to be the next Frank Sinatra. After Peter left Kiss around 1982 he naively thought the World deserved to experience his vast talent and he was going to earn the multi millions he was worth and didn’t need Gene, Paul or Ace. If anything in his drug-alcohol fog he felt he was being held back by Kiss. Peter basically earned chump money after his Kiss day’s. It took this reunion to make Peter and Ace millionaires again. Peter became the same old malcontent he was in the early days. Paul and Gene gave him the Axe again.

Yeah I just hate out you know if there's anybody in kiss that's an underrated musician it's Peter Criss and he doesn't get a lot of respect he deserves of the drummer I mean look at Gene Simmons you think he's a f****** good bass player made place with a pic I mean most guys that play with a pic just you know aren't good enough to use their fingers and most great bass players use their fingers to play I mean you look at Gene Simmons bass solos I mean they're just a bunch of noise and never was you know any kind of music theory or no Cliff Burton bass solo Steve Harris or Geddy Lee or Chris Squire .Squire use the pic but that dude played a bass like a guitar. Mean Gene is not in the same Stratosphere as those guys he's not even close and he's a good bass player just like Peter Criss is a good drummer but they're not great but they were good together as a band those guys were great together each one of them brought a little something that just made that band great as a four-piece but if you know strip the band apart none of them were really that great of musicians maybe except for Ace as a lead guitarist but he was not that good of a rhythm guitarist Paul was an excellent Rhythm guitarist. But for playing basic rhythm and blues type rock and roll didn't have anybody that could do it better than kiss. But they were no you know improv and you know they didn't you know do jams or any kind of cool tangents that they would break off into and just do wild jams they weren't that kind of band. Peter was not a great drummer when it came to coming up with beats for songs but he was an excellent showman as in terms of playing drum solos he was f****** awesome and playing drum solos.
Peter wasn't built to tour like Gene and Paul. I can only imagine how strenuous touring constantly would be. The egos of Gene and Paul wouldn't let them stop. Narcissistic to the bone 😆🤣
These guys in the band talk non stop about being street level but they must have been punching each other out non-stop because if you have any kind of honour no matter where you are from you don't talk shit about your homies or you get taught a lesson, thats all they seem to do is throw each other under the bus.
