I wish Peter sang more wen he was with kiss. I love his raspy bluesy soulful voice. His 78 solo album was a good album may not be KISS like Hard Rock but it shows off his style and awesome singing voice.
What do you mean, wouldn't go down well with Paul? Peter sung Black Diamond, Hard Luck woman, Beth, Strange Ways, Nothing to lose!!!! He obviously had the best voice and sung fan favorites!!! Piss on Stanley
I can stil remember putting on the headphones, cranking up a Kiss album and sitting at my drumset and learning Peters licks. 100,000 years Alive solo blew me away!!! Great drummer man.
As a KISS fan since ‘76 I’d disagree with you. I think Bill is well known as an instrumental force behind KISS and we saw him in nearly every montage of video interviews back in the day. Sean not so much until the last 20 years as fans dove deeper into the making of KISS and learning of the early years.
God bless peter ,I was always your ultimate fan ,now to see tour also a man of God makes me so proud of you that's why your the catman with nine lives rock on big brother ...👍
Love Ya Peter Criss, Say what you want Drummers. You Influence millions of players to pick up drumsticks, then you can say something!!!!! Peter did End Of Story!!! If you don't like the interview, don't watch it!!!! I am a proud Peter Criss Fan!!!!
Peter gets a lot of harsh criticism and people say some harsh things about him and despite is crazy drug abuse and all the nutty and crazy behind the moments he was really hard working. Although I wrote a majority of the KISS songs (despite a few tracks here and there) I was proud of what some of the work Pete did. He DID write Beth and I sat next to him right of the way. He asked me for some help with a few minor chords and even thought and gave him the help he didn't use them and I was so proud of him because he was determained to make that HIS song, despite the fact that at the time it was considered a "throw away song" and it was likely never to make a record or wherever they intended (even the shelves) it was the miracle that was and could and Beth was a masterpiece so God bless you Pete - you did it and your spirit led you there! So proud of him and so glad to have been apart of that and to have been apart of writing some hits for KISS which sadkly, folks will never know. I really wish I could tell people the songs I wrote for the band people would be shocked!
I was just thinking, many of the members of KISS have all had certain identifiable personality quirks. With Peter it amuses me that his is just chewing gum.
Your a fucking jackasses you don’t know what you’re talking about ..You have no idea what a great drummer is , Peter was important in making KISS great agreed , but to call him great is laughable. Peter at one time was a great team playing , nobody in KISS was a great musician, but as a whole that were great . If you want to hear great drummer listen to Dave Weckl , Mike Mangini , Tony Royster . Virgle Donati , Thomas Lang , Billy Cobbham , Dennis Chambers , Tony Williams List to their solo’s , them list to Peter
This is hella funny, with the interviewer looking constantly at the cameraman like should I tell Peter Criss to get closer to the microphone and stop whispering through the beginning of the interview.
That is BS every Kiss book written by Gene Paul and Ace all talked how much help Bill Acoin And Shane DeLaney helped Kiss get to the top . Paul especially was very close to Bill as was Gene who first wrote a letter to Bill inviting him to see Kiss play one of their first concerts. The believed in both Bill and Shane Gene said it was Shawn who told them to do the swing guitars during Deuce , which they still do .
I never heard Paul or Gene , Say Peter or Ace were hacks , but what they did say and I fully agree with them, that Peter especially , lost a lot of interest, he had a bad attitude, and he admits he wears his emotion on the sleeves. I actually heard kiss, doing that first show at the Pop Corn club , Queens Boulevard in Long Island city New York, at the time I was playing in a band working in a club called the Honka Monka , which was about three or four blocks away on the same side the Queens Boulevard, but the next weekend we were going to go play the popcorn club, so during our break, we took a walk over to the Popcorn club , To have a conversation with the owner whose name was Marvin and to let him know if everything was clear for us to do next weekend at the club. During our conversation Kiss was performing while we were having a drink with Marvin, I remember them playing Deuce and thinking how great Ace sounded . I was really impressed, and I just heard about 30 minutes of their set , we had to go back to our club to finish our gig. I didn’t think Peter was great , but I thought he was good and he was rocking and it was tight. I heard them a few years later at the Fillmore East, and again I really thought they were great, at the popcorn club I remember them being very-bass heavy, as they were at the Fillmore East. About two years later I heard them again, and Peter sounded terrible , offbeat, drums sounded like they were ringing they had flanges on the drums, because he wasn’t hitting hard enough and you couldn’t even hear him. So Peter was up and down, sometimes he was really into it, sometimes he sounded terrible. I heard Kiss at Madison Square Garden in 1996. They were fantastic, Peter was hot and heavy, and of course he sang great, and to me that Madison Square Garden show was the best I ever heard them really blowing the roof off Madison Square Garden , just rocking on all cylinders. I heard them about a year later and again Peter was terrible , off he look like he didn’t want to be there , so that’s the point they make about Peter, he let his emotions take over herself, Ace always sounded good . Ace was always my favorite member, but through the years he proved to be an idiot, he always talks like an idiot saying Paul and Gene are money hungry, but during the recent Kisstory TV documentary Ace refused to join in, why because they weren’t offering him enough money, he claimed that Paul and. Gene didn’t wanna play for their rock ‘n’ roll induction ceremony, he said why wouldn’t they do it for the fans, again it’s so stupid why didn’t he join Kisstory for the fans. So you’ll see my point he accuses them for doing the same thing he did, why didn’t he play and join in KISStory for the documentary on TV just for the fans . Gene on Ace‘s birthday offered him to jump up and do some on encores , on this The end of the road tour, you know what Ace said they better have deep pockets, I won’t do it for free I need a lot of money. I agree they end this business to make money, and I get that, but why does he always call Paul and Jean money hungry when he’s doing the exact same thing. That’s the stupid pot of Ace . So Paul and Gene prove to me that both Ace and Peter they never said hacks , But they were inconsistent , and were just not very cooperative and they were very difficult to work with. So why would they want to play with them again for the End Of The Road tour. Paul and Gene are both worth in the hundreds of millions of dollars, so they don’t need the money, even if a promoter says you know what if you get Ace and Peter to do some shows for the end of the road tour we will pay you triple, they remember the nightmare of the 1996 tour, so why would they want for a couple more dollars in your pocket when they’re worth hundreds of millions of dollars the activation it’s not worth it , so everything they say about Peter and Ace is true. And like I said Peter always plays the innocent,. Ace is an idiot he sounds like an idiot wherever he talks Ace sounds like a moron and makes one dumb statements after the other . Peter on the other hand sounds sincere and sounds like he wants to do the right thing , but you know what he never does he’s all talk and he’s all revved up in the beginning, but he quickly loses interest, so that’s that beef with Ace and Peter . I think both of them are terrible bad night, but I have to admit that the four original guys Are the reason cash is still selling out of church night after night, Ace and Peter were a big part of that great sound, whenever they had their chemistry worked and when they were on they were great. And both Peter and Ace Inspired a lot, there’s a lot of great musicians Peter inspired some great drummers , the same with Ace . But through the years they have not been consistently great. I went to see Ace’s band, and to me they were a kiss tribute band they played Deuce, Strutter Detroit rock city. I went to see Ace not some tribute band .Ace quit he said he’s better, and more creative without the other members of kiss, again how stupid does that sound if he was so creative why is he playing Detroit rock city he didn’t write it he didn’t sing it for all I know he didn’t even play guitar on it on the record, because it’s a known fact that Ace did not always play on all of the kiss albums, so my point is if you’re so creative why don’t you play rocket right, why don’t they play rock soldiers I like to stuff Ace did on his solo records , but Ace really has no confidence in himself he still relying on Kiss songs he did not sing or write , I didn’t go to see a kiss tribute band I want to see Ace. And I was disappointed
@@franksaladino3938ARE you done with your ridiculous book you wrote!!! Peter Criss and Ace were amazing and fantastic and made them famous, fact!!!! Enough said
My book was written , For intelligent people, not jackasses, uneducated, stupid people like yourself I was a big fan of Ace, but through the years he proved he was an asshole, Peter did inspire a lot of great drummers, but that don’t mean he was great. He inspired them to play, and they played much better than he plays, but he had everything going back, then the rising drum kit, the 10 Tom Tom’s they weren’t necessarily inspired by his drumming they were inspired by the character . do the homework, you fool you don’t know the first thing about great drummers, I tell you about them, but you’re too stupid to listen. If you think Peter and Ace is so great, why does Ace kiss, when he didn’t write them or sing them, Ace is nothing but a tribute to kiss, his whole show he plays about 10 songs, he said he’s more creative outside of kiss, but how was playing kiss music in his band, he didn’t write those songs he didn’t even sing those songs. he plays the half empty clubs that have a capacity of 500, to 700 people and when he stay the half empty, Peter Peter is doing nothing but sitting around, dreaming of the past carrot while kiss just ended the end of the road tour plan 15 to 20,000 people at a time. Who would rather be they’re both worth hundreds of millions of dollars, while the Peter and Ace, I’m not doing nowhere there as well
He said it , he worked very hard for what he has , catholic prayer had nothing to do with it, praying is like pretending with your invisible friend, nothing but fantasy
@@kevinchadler469 common Are you close to them Do you actually work with them I didn't think so I truly believe that it's not so easy to get along with Peter Criss And well Ace is Ace And when it's no longer fun for him he quits I've got know problem With the Original KISS I to wished they could have got along But the truth is Peter was Broke dirt poor and stuck around as long as he could
My ass, he was amazing and Beth was their biggest hit??? Hard luck woman and Black Diamond I will never take away from Paul writing it, because he will always remind us that he did, but Peter the Catman Criss was their best singer by far and him and Ace most influential in the 70's hands down!!!
Peter always plays the victim , but he is his own worst enemy. He sold the Cat Man character as did Ace sell the Space Man . Peter and Ace thought they outsmarted Paul and Gene , by selling them what they thought was a dead horse , they felt the characters were dead, although they ran away with a pile of money laughing. Peter claims he is the real Cat Man , but he sold the character for money , how much do you care about a character when for a few dollars in your pocket you don't care anymore .Now Paul and Gene are making the characters great again with Eric and Tommy playing the part . Peter talks a good game , but he is as dumb as a rock. Peter played a big part in making Kiss one of the biggest bands in the world , but he blew it and while Kiss is still rocking their end of the road tour making millions of dollars .Peter is just sitting at home steaming mad he blew it all.
