I loved Peter Dinklage’s character in this movie! He’s such a kind hearted man. The scene when toots dies always makes me cry. Had to stop the video this time, it’s too heartbreaking to watch 💔

Long before I started watching "Game of Thrones" I watched this movie back in '09. It was the first thing I ever saw Peter Dinklage in, and the scene with Toots dying made me cry. It still does. These scenes always stayed with me, and I never forgot about Peter's performance. When I first saw him in "Game of Thrones," I immediately recognized him from "Lassie." Thanks for uploading the video. :)

I watched this movie with my mom when I was a pre-teen, and I cried SO MUCH when Rowlie's dog got killed that my mom had to comfort me even after the film had ended. I've been a dog lover practically all my life

I saw that movie when I was a kid. I had a dog at that time, the same breed as Toots. Me and my brother were crying so hard that we had to leave the cinema

I watched this film when I was 5, it has completely faded from my memory (to the point I was surprised to see that Dinklage was even in this) but I remembered this part, it completely fucked me up as a kid

I find it amusing that he says "Winter's coming" twice in this movie, and it's from 2005!

You know, Mr Dinklage is pretty good at staging a puppet show.

In the original 1943 film Rowlie is a pots and pans salesman. Making him a puppeteer who definitely would have got a lot of shillings in his hat from the children after his shows makes this scene sadder. Casting Nicholas Lyndhurst who's best known as the likeable Rodney Trotter as the wicked dog-murdering Snickers also makes this scene more hard hitting.

Why were those two Idiot Thieves and Dog Killers acting like they were living in a MedEvil World like in Game of Thrones expecting a Dwarf to have Gold? Did World War 2 Britain not have Money as in Pounds? I Love Peter Dinklage in these Clips though. I saw him in this before I watched Game of Thrones but Elf was the First Movie I saw him in. Brilliant Actor! The man has my Respect.
