Catherine, it was indeed an honor to watch this tribute. My admiration for your father is now exponentially elevated after seeing these wonderful personal photos. It was just such a pleasure to see so many photos of the man Peter Falk, not just publicity stills of the characters he portrayed. He appears to be such a down-to-earth father, and he was probably a joy to all he met. Thank you so very much for sharing these glimpses of your private, personal moments with Peter and your family. I get so excited when I watch Columbo, you would think that I was anxiously awaiting the season premiere. Peter Falk was such a gifted actor, his work is timeless.
Catherine, here in Britain I have yet to come across anyone who didn't like your father or Columbo, I would love to have met him and to shake the hand of someone who gave so much pleasure to millions of people around the world, ......a superstar in every sense.

When I was a kid, I was born in 1963, my dad I and use to watch Columbo and talk about the show. My dad died in 1974 so I have a strong memory of my dad and me watching Columbo. I continued to watch the show after my dad passed away. I love the show I have them all on DVD. Your dad was a great actor also loved him in Murder by Death and many other movies. I hope he enjoyed his life, wife, family, kids and so on he certainly deserved too he made a lot of people happy.
PETER FALK ALWAYS CAME ACROSS AS A KIND AND DIGNIFIED GENTLEMAN AS WELL AS BEING A SUPERB ACTOR. HE WILL ALWAYS LIVE AMONGST THE HIGHEST RANKING HOLLYWOOD GREATS. RIP.
My 10 Yr. old daughter and I spend every Sunday night watching Columbo. She loves the classic shows and I can't think of anything more classic than your dad's iconic character. He left behind a great body of work. I hope to introduce her to his whole filmography.

Beautiful Tribute for one of the greatest actors I've ever had the honor watching. My late father was the one who got me into Columbo when I was a child, hooked ever since. But I'm sure you hear this all the time. He was a great man from what I can tell, my heart is with you and your family. Rest well Peter Falk.
I'm from Colombia and in my childhood we gather in family to watch Colombo. It was great. His humbleness and intelligence impressed me. Ever since I follow him. When I came to USA I watched him again. Now I have the entire collection. Believe me I don't care to repeat the episodes. Everytime I enjoy them. Rest in peace my sweet idol.

I loved and still love Columbo. There is never a time when I can't sit down and enjoy an episode. Loved the movies too but can't seem to find those anymore. But his series are more than enough to get my fix. When he passed I was greatly saddened. Nine years already :(. Wished I'd been blessed with such a lovely dad.

Wow. I love this. I was just a kid back in the '70s but my Dad used to watch Columbo all the time. Now that I'm 52, I get to watch it 3 times each weekend. My favorite tv show. Also, my best buddy lives just across the street from me and it's his favorite as well. Every week we talk about the shows that aired over the weekend. I know as fans we know nothing about the actors but you could always see something about Peter Falk that I think revealed something about him. During interviews as well as on the show, he would always reach out and touch whoever he was speaking to. He would put his hand on their arm or whatever. I like that about him. I think it's a reflection of the fact that he seemed to genuinely care. This man was a gift to all of us. So talented. He brought joy to a lot of people, myself included.
I have a disabled grandson who has no concentration for tv but loves the voice of columbo so we have an episode on every time he eats .he just hears Mr falks voice a calms down

I bought a box of all Columbus Tv series in 2009,and i am watching them every night over and over again since i bought them,with out getting tired of watching it, Absolute genius one of a kind, RIP Maestro you will never be forgotten.as you are one of the Best.
I simply Loved Peter Falk and his awesome presence in what ever project he was involved in! My own personal favorite was his movie "The In-Laws" with Alan Arkin......Just pure Peter Falk delivering his Craft for all to enjoy! I'm a big fan, I'm from Brazil His father, in my opinion was one of the greatest actors I was born in 1973, and I remember watching the adventures of Columbo with my parents every week It was a beautiful time His tribute was very beautiful, her family is very beautiful I wish you all the happiness in the world

Out of all actors ,Peter Falk (aka ) Colombo is the one person I would've love to have met in person. This human being was just so good a personality that was so likable. He has brought both me and and I am sure millions of other in the UK a lot of satisfaction 'watching the box' over the years. I've read many articles about him and I suppose the success in life that he found couldn't have happened to a nicer guy . I first saw your Father in a comedy movie with my Father in the 1960's , and I'll always remember how he made us laugh . I'm sorry for your loss and thank you for sharing these family photographs . Catherine Falk: my uncle ( another fan) told me a super little story about how your Dad alledgedly got the Columbo role. Is it true that he turned up at an audition in his crumpled mac, looking a little dishevelled ( can't recall quite 'why' though all these years later) and somebody saw him and thought what a great character he would make for a cop show? Is that true?

He may not have been the character he played in the movie "The In-Laws" but it came from him and that means he was one of the most endearing people I have known. Colombo was just as endearing. I was never able to meet the man but I still loved him. Strange and wonderful how that kind of media can make us feel. He is missed, Pete falk is indeed missed.
I grew up in the 70s and loved the 1970s tv series and never saw Columbo because I was maybe 5 or 6 years old. Now in my late 40s I am hooked with this series! Never knew he was such a great actor!! Was a great family man too! Much respect!
