Meraviglioso brano di Peter Gabriel dedicato a chi si è trovato a perdere il posto di lavoro, accompagnato dalla splendida voce del profondo nord di Ane Brun
Paula Cole I think is the best voice and compliments Peter really well, smooth on key and just amazing I showed this song to my bro-inlaw and it took several times for him to really listen to the words. a month later when I saw him he said he sat and really listened and balled his eyes out, saying he understood it hit his heart being he and I been through many of the things he sings about... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-98lNKjwYtaU.html
@@TheAradar vocally Paula was stellar, but I feel it lacks the emotion and feeling that Kate and Ane put in it. Their uniqueness and rawness make it better for me. This is an emotional song for me though, no matter what version. Personal connection to it
Just great to see and hear the four Four double bass players lead in interaction at the end between the musicians and the audience just.wonderful to feel part of the song always been a big fan of Peter Gabriel music and unusual husky voice 🙏
Impressed with Ane Brun not perfect as stress on a couple of syllables was lost at times which is understandable for not having English as a first language. Otherwise first class and a good alternative to Kate Bush.
Everything about this is great until the crowd starts clapping on the 1 and the 3. Gross. The band should be on orders to do a Harry Connick Jr. and displace the rhythm to set them on the 2 and the 4... it wrecks the punch of the whole song!
That is the single most stupid comment i have ever seen haha. The voice of ane brun lifts this performance to unparalelled standards. Her vulnerable vocal together with peter gabriels rock solid performance makes this one for the books. The live blood recording might be one of the most beautiful live performances of all time
@@UltraVirgin634 exactly! The original with Kate Bush is still the best version of this, but Ane is easily the next best female vocal that has ever been on this song. Ane is the only one that truly completely captured the emotion in the lyric and the vocal in the same way Kate did. Vulnerable is the perfect word to describe Ane’s voice here. Ane is the only other person to put me to tears like Kate did as well. This Mike has no idea what he’s talking about
