A young man enters his apartment and is immediately put into a sleeper hold by a huge assailant waiting inside, in the dark. The assailant hoists the victim into a hanging noose, and kicks a stool out from under him. The death is ruled a suicide. The giant is an assistant to Ahben Vanesku, a cult leader who hires Peter Gunn to find a female cult member who supposedly embezzled $ 200,000 from the cult. Gunn tracks the beautiful woman to Spain.

@davidwdorr6636 That's a good version too .More Kick ! H.Mancini was the " King of Kool" in the late 50s + most of the 60s. So many great movie songs/ themes. Best Wishes

Love the Henry Mancini music. I have both albums on CD. The Music From Peter Gunn and More Music From Peter Gunn.The first album won the very first Grammy for album of the year in 1959.The music on both albums is brilliant and jazz for the ages. What an outstanding tv series Great characters created by Blake Edwards.

Music is great. The storylines however, yikes! The constant stream of pick up lines and innuendo, not to mention the cigarettes and cigarettes and more and more cigarettes.... But the music is great.
