Love Peter Hitchens, Douglas Murray, David Starkey and sexy Laurence Fox. They have intellect, humour and give right thinking of us a will to live. Thank you Graham you are a proper broadcaster. ❤❤❤❤
@@joanwilkins8795 David Starkey is another 'find'. The intelligent view is so refreshing. I have noticed how the UK MSM news has become Amercanised, with a comprehension age of about 6. Cheap journalism and repeated use of single syllable words. Oh they play the masses like a fiddle!
@@chasleask8533 Yes, it is really important to break the TV habit. I didn't realise what a toxic effect watching TV had on me until I completely stopped watching.
@@andrewmartin6445 The covid propaganda is relentless . I only catch the radio because the wife has it on . It's EVERY time someone speaks. I must catch maybe 10 minutes a day, and even during that time I hear too much . Still at least they've shut up about climate change , and lesbians.
Until March 23 this year I took my 4 year old son to see my mother in aged care multiple times a week, he has not seen her since. She has been confined to her room (room not building) for over a month. He was sitting on he couch a few days ago crying, saying 'I want to see grandma'. How many people will look back in coming years and realise they lost the last years with their parents and grandparents. Such as sad loss, the last years of my own grandfathers life are a precious memory for me.
That’s awful. My daughter is 6 and a bit of a worrier at the best of times. The first time her granny touched her since the start of this, she jumped back and said “don’t touch me granny, I might make you sick”. Also at a playground recently, an 18 month old who was so terrified of other kid’s germs that he’d scream if any of them went near him. I really wonder how this is going to affect little ones in the long run.
That's is awful and happens to be classed as the new normal. No no is not normal. Just a suggestion if you little one Coukd talk on the phone if possible and make his granma card, pictures. And please do your research in to cures for covid 19. Lots of good doctors in America and other countries. There is a peaceful protest this Saturday in London Trafalgar Square at 12 noon. Lots of doctors and guests speaking about all of this Covid 19. Maybe you will get some hope. 🙏
@@kellynisbett5876 Here is Victoria doing research is pointless. The government has made illegal the use of the two most prominent proposed cures, sounds strange but it is true.
I done my bit to defund the bbc they sent me a letter to day I wint be bothered for 2 years thinking I will want to get one in 2 years NO suck luck bbc you are finished.get lost I wont be getting another licence demand for unlawful tax.begger off thousand are leaving the bbc every week.
They sent someone round who knocked my door last month to "check if I still didn't need a TV licence?" I told her no thanks, invited her in to check that nothing had changed since the last time I let them in, but she refused to step inside due to the test "current conditions". The whole thing left me scratching my head as to why they bothered coming round then if they weren't going to check and they already send me letters checking the same thing.
Friend of mine is a teacher and went back to school a few weeks ago before the summer holidays. He was all ready for the kids to be sitting at their socially distanced desks etc. Upon opening the door he realised it was pointless as the children simply didn't care and at playtime the teachers just couldn't segregate them. Then, after school, the children were all meeting up walking up the road. It's just not human nature to keep humans apart so let's forget it and get back to the normal normal. Deaths are bugger all.Numbers are going up because they're testing more, it's not rocket science
Keeping kids apart in the classroom might not even do what we are being told it will do - keep everysafe. Especially, as you point out they mix elsewhere. Then again, they might only be able to catch the virus from one another in classrooms but not in other places they meet up, and if so, the segregation is a truly great idea. Rest easy everyone.
Teachers are “morons”, they were “morons” when I was a kid, and they are even bigger “morons” now. Yep, I spent a lot of time in the Headmasters Office......
@@Steveuploads Yes, hard to watch. But we have to in order to know what could be going on. I say 'could be' cos this is something we need to understand well as so much rides on it.
@@jackwilson5513 saves the air, a seat on the rail -- working at home is a great option. Sitting in traffic when you're in a car that's built to go is stupid
I think its the line Britain never never never will be slaves' they dont like. The New World Order is about just having a slave class and an elite class just like the old ussr. No middle class. The lockdown is their way of getting rid of small and medium sized businesses and let the major corporations have the monopoly. They will make smart homes (12 x 12) of the empty business premises in town centres and move people whereby they can keep them under surveillance. Watch John Rappaport on the Vinny Eastwood Show video.
They have that covered, by simultaneously dumbing down the English language. (The removal of full stops and other punctuation) This makes it easier for the 'woke' to take offence, because they just do not understand.
I totally ignored track and trace. I was sent home from work with a head ache and sore throat last thursday. I was told to self isolate. Since then ive been bowling, drinking, swimming and cycling. And lo and behold, the covid test was negative. I'm not wasting my life sitting in quarantine when this entire situation is quite obviously BOLLOCKS.
'sorry sir you've come from a blacklisted country. you must self isolate for 2 weeks.' 'ok' *goes home. goes about his life as normal* Honestly.. how are they enforcing these self isolations, without putting an apparatchik on everyones door? absolute joke.
if teachers dont want to work step aside and let others take the jobs as children need to be educated, and if teachers are too thick to see theres virtually no risk then they have no common sense and shouldnt be teaching
For all the people now working from home it is going to be quite a shock when their employers realise that Estonians, Lithuanians, Indians etc. can do the same work much more cheaply.
BBC/mass immigration/Labour/Islam Party all of it was in 2030: Your Children's Future in Islamic Britain. This is the biggest scandal in British history, the taxpayer funded population replacement of the indigenous English race and the surrender of its historical capital to our sworn enemies without a shot being fired. Another generation of careerist Tories cannot wash their hands of this immigration treason then skip off to the Lords anymore, we are way past that stage now, keep the borders open and they will find themselves hunted down with the rest of us.
The thought that people love their country and the sovereignty of individual nations sticks in their throats. Freedom of thought and speech makes them feel threatened..
If a school closes then stop paying all the staff....no work-no pay! Let them sit at home for as long as they want but no money! And then start looking for some teachers, maybe from abroad, who actually want to teach!
No. Its a tax like any other. It funds the bbc world service and many other dramas etc that they produce. A change in the law is required. Having said this. There is no legal way they can prosecute people who refuse to pay IF they are not watching live TV. So anyone who only watches Netflix or RU-vid has absolutely no legal obligation to pay the licence fee. The bbc would argue this but in reality they can't. Now, with streaming subscription services, the bbc is out if time. Thats why they've scrapped free licenses for over 75s. So many have canceled their licenses the bbc is now struggling. Also interesting to note the bbc received MASSIVE amounts of cash from the eu. Coincidence that this was roughly when they changed from being a service we all trusted for fair and neutral reporting, to propaganda and biased news that would put CNN to shame. The boss of the bbc has also been offered, and I believe, accepted a position in Brussels working for the eubc - yep the eu even want our broadcasting service. So its time for the entire nation to just end it. The bbc must die. Them trying to ban "land of hope and glory and rule brittania" from the last night of the proms is possibly the nail in theur coffin. Land of hope... has gone straight to the top of the music charts as a result. 😊 Thats all you need to know about how the people feel about this. 😊 The bbc is finished, they just don't know it yet.
When I'm on a site like this I feel there are a lot of like-minded people, but in day to day life I feel there are very few. Since mandatory mask wearing came in I've seen one other person without a mask when shopping! 😮
There are lots of us around, it's just that just because one wears a face mask in shops does not mean that said person agrees with all this nonsense. I hate wearing a face mask (and it's a complete waste of time), and can't stay in a shop for very long as I find it so uncomfortable. However I don't see the point of arguing with people who are simply doing their job, standing guard in shop doorways and asking us all to wear the bloody things, so I reluctantly wear one even though I now try and avoid going in a shop etc unless I have to. I think there are lots of people who agree wtih Hitchens and think the last few months have been totally absurd, at least here we can all meet up!
@@paulthompson8996 If people stopped going into their shops to avoid having to wear a muzzle they would soon change their tune! Stop complying with this BS.
@@margaretreid8692 Maybe; but what I found out is that anyone can just print off an exempt card, so I've got one and we'll see - interesting social experiment - what happens when I start to use it in shops when asked why I'm not wearing a mask.
@Double u OhEnA Fair point; in fact it's got to the point where, if I am in a shop for any length of time, (a) my glasses steam up and I can't see anything and (b) I can't breathe properly, so I now have a card (printed from gov uk) on a lanyard, saying that I am exempt (as it causes me "severe distress") and I've never had a problem since. Sorted.
@Double u OhEnA Debateable. They have the right to deny entry to said shop [section 5(1) of the Health Protection (Coronavirus. Wearing of Face Coverings in a Relevant Place (England) Regulations 2020] and to ask you to wear one if not [section 5(2)], unless you are exempt. Interestingly, and rather ridiculously, you do not have to have an exemption card and do not have to show it, it is enough to say 'I am exempt'. What happens then is unknown, until there is a test case.
Mr Hitches RIGHTLY points out that Britain doesn't rule the waves and we are perfectly happy to also be treated as 'slaves' BUT for me it's about being proud of our country and having faith in our 'establishment' and honouring those before us who fought for our independence and future. I am PROUD to be British and to all those who are not ...... pack your bags and GO!
I do sense a dawning realisation amongst a growing element of the population that this has nothing to do with health in any way. Add these to the people that don't give a damn what the rules are and we are heading for a society where anarchy is the new normal. A dangerous game that they are playing.
Oh yes, very dangerous Robin. I personally would love to go back to the normal normal (as in Feb 2020 and earlier). It had many faults that needed fixing but it had many more virtues. Don't ever remember back then seeing so many scared people - too scared to think of anything other than pulling an over-used and inadequate mask over their faces and recoiling from the rest of humanity. I do remember lots of people working hard and playing hard - enjoying life.
Peter Hitchens along with Mike G. The voice of reason. My son, 25, enjoyed Peters brother, Chris. He was a great voice. He's now realised, Peter is now, maybe always, the reasoned one. Great discussion guys.
Yippee it's Monday evening and live Mike and Peters chats, Peter sounding quite sexy ha ha ha!!! But why do people abandon their much needed holidays and charge back for no frigging reason!! Just enjoy your hols guys really!!!
Peter and Mike’s Monday chats are a highlight of my week too! My nephew just moved to the Netherlands to start university, his mum and dad were supposed to take him over but then the ridiculous quarantine was introduced just before they left. So his dad stayed at home and missed out on seeing his firstborn off to college in a new country. Because of this stupid, poorly thought-out nonsense. So sad for them, and the countless others losing out on such major life events. Makes me so cross.
What a shame we don't have Monty Python any more. The ongoing scenario is so PYTHON-ESQUE. You couldn't make it up. Top-Down the whole thing is a farce. Peter you are a breath of fresh air in this pantomime. And I am grateful that Mike is giving you a regular slot with which to help us cope. Big Hugs xx PS: We chucked the telly out and don't miss it. GOD SAVE BRITTANIA !!
I saw some very upsetting scenes in a Max Igan video (no longer on youtube) - children in Thailand having to stand on particular spots on the floor and playing alone each in their own plastic-sheeting tent. It's monstrous. I don't have children myself but am very worried about what this is doing to them socially and mentally. It's children and old people I'm most worried about, both groups are suffering horribly and for what? What we have, if it is actually anything out of the ordinary, has the mortality rate of a flu bug (anybody seen the flu rates for this year, btw?!). And yes, Demo Graphics, quite right: after 49 years of listening to Radio 4 I've finally realised what a toxic propaganda machine it is, it's not reformable, let's bin the blo ody thing, dreadful people putting blood on our hands on a daily basis.
If nothing else, the lockdown has given Boris some sort of excuse for a statesman actually ‘maintaining’ the hairstyle of a teenage Aussie surfer crossed with Kevin when he’d just got back from Ibeza with Perry
Cancel your tv license direct debit If they come around say you don’t watch live tv and iplayer. And close the door. Or if you get a threatening letter straight in bin Record them at the door for proof and don’t let them in
Those who tell the stories, Rule society, Plato.... A truthful observation thanks Plato and thanks Peter your a logical and truthful human being... Speak the truth where ever you go folks... Much love....
Remember when the BBC would say to a bunch of guys, yeah go & do 12 episodes of a comedy show & Python was born. Remember when the BBc was run by people who were in the arts themselves, remember when the BBC produced classics like Hancocks Half Hour, The Goons, The Goodies, The Young Ones, Doctor Who, Steptoe & Son, Blackadder, Generation Game, HIGNFY, John Cravens flippin Newsround, Swap Shop. Where's it all gone... Maybe you can't remember but once upon a time the BBC was run for entertainment, christ knows who runs it now, leftie gay non white, non british bankers probably.
No covid patients in Bournemouth yesterday it's a 400 bed hospital. And hardly any one there in outpatients . I went for a blood test there no one in pathology and I was 10 minutes late. Blood tests are a way to find if you have cancer. Cannot go to my GPS either it was locked spoke to a receptionist through a telecom. It's like we have no health service
BBC shot itself in the foot with the recent batch of 'Peaky Blinders' - The first 15 minutes of series 5 painted white men as racist, misogynist psychopaths, women as smart, on-to-it, witty power figures and black men as excruciatingly well-spoken, thoughtful victims. That's the last 15 minutes I'll watch.
In my opinion a large reason for the 2 week quarantine is to keep people from spending money in different countries in there high season. (Portugal low deaths but banned in there high season, now Croatia)
