Paddy and Peter Kay were best friends at school - he made reference to him on his show when talking about being sent to the thick table at school by the nun. Peter Kay likes to work with people he knows. Paddy McGuiness is one of the presenters of Top Gear
@@camoTiarathey’re not pronounced the same way in England or Ireland! Patty is pronounced with a T sound in the middle, Paddy is pronounced with a D sound. How they’re spelled!
you should watch the series max and paddy, they the play the bouncers from the Tv show, pheonix nights, who have bought a camper van, each show is slightly themed from past 80s tyoes show;s, its pure genius.
It is actually a real episode, virtually all game shows in the UK have regular celebrity episodes where the celebrities play for their chosen charities.
Have you seen Peter Kay on the Jonathan Ross Show? He was so funny. Actually, he has been on a few chat shows, and he is always hilarious. By the way, I went to school in Solihull, near Birmingham, with Jasper Carrott's daughter.
Deal or no Deal, originally from the Netherlands, started in the UK 3 years before the US version. There was a much better vibe to the show then the American version, as all the remaining contestants stayed together in a hotel, and the boxes were opened by these awaiting contestants, who would be invested in seeing their new friends do well, and would also sometimes come out with embarrassing tales of things that had happened back in the hotel. You should react to one episode, just so you can compare it with the version you are used to
I’m not one to be blown away by a fact, but that being said I genuinely never knew Deal or No Deal was originated in the Netherlands. Thankyou for the educating me on that one! 😊
The American version of Deal or No Deal feels more like something a comedy show would make up to insult stereotypes of Americans than a programme someone would actually make - parodic seventies game show style glitz in the 2000s and scantily clad attractive young women holding all the boxes?? The host was OK from what I've seen, but the production was absurd and about four decades out of date.
Chris Tarrant was the original presenter of the show of Who wants to be a Millionaire in BRITAIN, back in the day, which ran from 1998- 2014, which was then cancelled, it was then revived in 2018 and was then presented by Jeremy Clarkson. (the guy from the FARM, and the popular british car programme called TOP GEAR) I have seen other versions of this show from around the world, but they just dont seem to be as good (especially the American version) as ours ? Same goes for Deal or no Deal, or The Chase, other countries always seem to want to change the format slightly, and put their own twist on things, especially the Americans.
The Great Chicago Fire of 1871left a large area of the city free for redevelopment with new forms of architecture. The new forms of architecture were skyscrapers, the principle architects of this new form of building being William Le Baron Jenney and Louis H. Sullivan. Sullivan is probably more famous for his quote "Form Follows Function", which became the principle of design and architectural Modernism.
Great reaction! If you are looking for more Peter Kay video clips as one of his characters look no further than The Phoenix Club's Family Fun Day - Peter Kay It's funny and hilarious, but you don't need any background knowledge to understand & get the jokes. Thanks!
The Peter Kay - Michael Parkinson episode? If so then man, that final episode had a legendary lineup! David Beckham David Attenborough Billy Connolly Michael Kaine Peter Kay.
I knew the the answer was Chicago.. It's called getting old and reading old books.I believe that they never won the million but donated a million to charity. I might be wrong but I know they are very good guys. 👍
Guys you probably wont know this, One guy in the early days actualy won the million, but they were caught cheating, him is wife and another person, they used a subtle cough, as he talked about the answers, and when he said the right answer while he was thinking, his wife and another guy would give a slight cough, Hence there were caught after, ended up in court, husband and wife got 18 moths suspended sentance, the other guy for 12 months suspended
I find the saying "one of the first" really annoying. It's either first, or not the first. It would be extremely unusual for multiple skyscrapers to be built and completed at the same time, so how many have to be built before one is no longer "one of the first?" Four? Six? I knew THE first skyscraper was built in Chicago, but theoretically they could have said New York and possibly still have been right because a skyscraper built in NY would probably have been "one of the first."
I get this and that it bugs you but for me it’s no big deal. Especially if the first one of something came out and someone else did their version. If it is done before it became popular and someone else liked the idea and did one of their own then that’s cool. But I do get annoyed at how everything these days are described in over dramatic ways.
Regarding the UK version of this show, you need to find the drama on Britbox based on this guy who really cheated on the show... en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Ingram
