Peter, we used to go to Bemmelman's Bar just to hear you! It was always a sell-out crowd of débutantes and aficionados. I remember over-hearing Roy Haynes calling you his "favorite Jazz Pianist..." Whither art thou? The world hath need of you!

Wonderful. My favorite old recording of this is that compilation of the singers Morton Downey, Annette Hanshaw, Singin' Sam and Will Osborne. All so different in their approach. Thanks for singing the verse. Peter, anyone ever tell you you sort of resemble a young and handsome Allyn Joslyn (a favorite actor or mine)?

Just wonderful. Thanks for this. Those years of piano lessons when you might have rather have been playing ball, having paid off. Could listen to your playing all day. And especially this lovely old song by Mr. Berlin. genius, as was Gershwin - Would love to hear you play Rhapsody In Blue, which i consider the most brilliant musical composition to come out of the Western hemisphere . Thanks Bill

Dear Prince, I remember those nights when Roy Haynes sat as close to the piano as possible. It wasn't until later that I learned how famous a musician he is! You asked where I am these days. You can always check my own web site (my name dot com) or Facebook, if you are a member there. Thanks for asking. P.M.
