Talking of eye contact, Peter Obi has been a public speaker for long and has stood out in many notable occasions both local and international. There's nothing wrong in the way he performed at Chatham. For the age long grip the British govt have over the country, what i can say is that, it will be dismantled , as soon as we start getting things right. I disagree...when Adeola invited Peter Obi, he granted her the honour and respect and went to speak with her in her own location, even played with the daughter. Nigerians are everywhere and they control part of the economy through their contributions, you can reach them more through such presentations rather than one on one meetings with them in the difference cities where they live given that the election is around the corner.

The first step in solving a problem is admitting that such a problem exists, in the first place. If you don't think that there is an element of colonial mentality that makes African leaders rush to Europe for validation, then we will continue to have this self-hate. There are many parts of Nigeria that require our leaders presence than Chatham house, but these leaders ignore then and rush off to Europe and the US at the slightest excuse.
