@@neonothanks.8653 he could always use it, just not on command, for example just swinging is already using spider sense same with dodging and just straight up just moving somewhat fast, however he learned to use it on command in ffh

I like to imagine that Ned is the one that's really into Star Wars and the Aliens and everything like that, and Peter has watched the movies like maybe once but never paying a ton of attention to them. He's genuinely interested and wants to support his friend but doesn't quite get any of the context around the movies/music
Love how my favourite oc low-key has this vibe because he watches and reads a lot of stuff and his powers are based off of mimicking fiction anyway so he thrives off of making references that literally no one understands

ok but i love that he asks politely. he seems to be the type that wouldn't judge you for not knowing his references like if he asks "have you seen this movie before" and you say no, he'd happily explain it without making it a big deal
I like how Peter started out as a sorta Star Wars fan then by the time he got back home from civil war he became a full on Star Wars fan with an at-at in his room
