I was there that night. Almost didn't go but my inner intuition told me to go. Met his mother in "95' while driving through Jamaica while passing by his temporary resting place. I had a picture taken with her which I still have.
This is the state of art live performance I've ever seen in my entire life. I would declare this the live performance of the millennium. The connection between Peter Tosh and his band members is just telepathic.
nazinarcs steady always do that them satanic ways of upside downing truth n quality n life systematically worldwide them evil af no one should enable them in any way longer anyone/where ever.
My dad was about 10-11 years old when this concert was performed. He was around 21 miles away from all of this. The closest he really has ever been to Peter Tosh in the flesh. So cool
Wendondakoala2794 Peter Tosh is the first person to put the word RASTA in Reggae music in 1966 when the king visits Jamaica......At time BOB MARLEY was in AMERICA with his mother....... BUNNY WAILER was in prison for ganja when the king 👑 visit Jamaica..
Selassie 1 is the master. Did Peter teach Bob Marley about the spirit? Did he write the songs for Bob? Was he the composer and arranger for Bob. If you prefer Peter, say it. They all preached RASTAFARI. Keep your ducking bald head ism and shism to yourself.
I am back once again because I am never tired of listening to this piece of spiritual awakening song done by the great Peter Mctosh....I salute sir 🙏 at all times
Reggae music is in a class all by itself . The musicians are letting the instruments literally talk . Thanks for the legacy great bro Peter McIntosh 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Bob and tosh started out together .... But when it came to stage performance .... Tosh claims it 🌅✌🏽😩💗🌞🌹.... But recorded music has to be given to bob marley 💗✌🏽✌🏽
Please infact peter tosh is the greatest of all time just look at the combination the organist is magic the drummer spirit the playing of guitar infact cant stop listening to this and with the jah rastafari kill it all
The best performance in the history of Reggae Music......Damn! I love it...I keep watching this video year after year, month after month, week after week....Mi cyan stop watch it!
Just here because my dad passed away on Sunday. He used to play Peter's music along with many other legendary reggae artists. I am 20 and this is the song that strikes chords within me. Edit: Thank you so much for the words of comfort 🥺
I have listened to this amazing song for over thirty something years now and it still moves me like the first day I listened to it. That heavy drop bass is hypnotherapy. Bless you ancestor Tosh. Your light shines on .. ❤
I don't think we have these plays today, solid instrumentalist. peter tosh, yes you are who you are. what a talent, what a skill. your music live. Thank Jah you came to this world for future generations to know your music. another peter tosh will come one day from your generation.
i write this, before i read yours: plays with every fiber of his body ... the DRUMMER fascinates me too - he always making me smile! AMAZING, again and again
He's the mighty Mighty one Thunderable Thunderable one He's the omnipotent Omnipotent one Magnificent, super Magnificent one You better worship Worship him You better praise, Praise him
I love Peter tosh music inspired me, he went directly to give true message to the world than going round the point, may he rest in internal peace Jah bless.
When I listen to reggae, I judge by talent and the way the music makes me feel from my soul. Peter Tosh was extremely talented and even taught Bob Marley how to play the guitar so give credit where it's due. He also played a great part in the music arrangements of the Wailers. Let's just respect the dead for their positive contributions to #reggae, afterall he was a co-founder of the Wailers! Love my historical roots and culture....🖤💚💛🎵🎶#jamaica #reggae #ukreggae #reprezentradio #bbcradio1x #bbcradio1 #afrobeatsuk #afroboss #rootsreggae #jamaicadub #miamidub #dubwise #lovereggae #lovedub #rototom #fidiculture #rastalove
What an awesome, and unique combination of a Singer and his instrumentalists?! Watch out on McIntoshs' songs just when Carlton 'Santa' Davis takes hold on the Drums......I have never seen such a gifted Drummer, so much so that his entire body moves while playing, Donald Kinsey on the Lead guitar, Keith Sterling on the Keyboard, Winston Morgan and 'Vision Walker on the Percussions, Stevie Golding on the Rhythm guitar, and George 'Fully' Fullwood on the Bass guitar. McIntosh remains a Reggae Star. Such an unusual personality that he makes absolute command, and control of his music. Yesterday the 11th of September, 2017 marked his 30th Death Anniversary. Rest on Peter Tosh, one of my favourite Reggae Artists! Many thanks for the musical inspiration you gave to the world.
Wow. What a fantastic band Peter had. I watched this live after getting high and I was mesmerized. All the instruments sound in perfect sync and harmony. Unbelievable.
Most of them are still playing in So Cal. Until Covid, Fully Fullwood (bass) and Tony Chin (rhythm guitar) were performing every Sunday in Long Beach, CA. Sometimes Santa Davis (drummer for Ziggy now) sits in as well.
This track is amazing.... and I don't usually watch the video so it's musical composition hits me hard. Seriously........ Only this one track here from Peter Tosh I always wish it not to end? The drum & Bass hypnotic vibes I wish it would never end? Unfortunately all tracks end. Peter Tosh...... Out Did himself on this track.... My God Man......
No one has expressed how I feel more precisely than this. It truly goes beyond me, music is one of the most beautiful and naturally satisfying things for our species, yet people deliberately choose to make of it an empty, boring and meaningless experience.
It's because of their level of evolution! Nothing else ........Kindly tolerate them with love and understanding !!! Blessing s and love from Nigeria !!!
There are not enough superlatives to describe how stupendous this performance and music is. Peter's unique voice, the arrangements, the guitars, the drums . Man, just the greatest reggae performance ever, BAR NONE, including Bob. PETER TOSH, the greatest reggae artist who never compromised.
I watched this over and over to glean The Master Rasta Prince running this show! No gaps and I love when they adjust thier mics for Nyabinghi Drumming and Peter takes a Toke pon his spliff and grooves back. true Entertainers teaching bout Jah Rastafari!
He took reggae music to highest level with inspiration from Jah and was Baptist this night by the Omnipotent one the whole band was also hypnotist by Rastafari so more energy, R.I.P you are no more a wanted man Legend your music will be played and love by generations to come 😂😂❤❤
I knew it was about to go down with the bongo drums when he lit up that blunt 😂🔥🔥🔥 I love this. The song itself has some brazzyyyy instrumentals, reason I came here to watch the live and I was not disappointed. What a Legend. Peter Tosh was one of the greatest indeed. [Today April 16 2024]
Tosh and his band were mean with it....precise and harmonic. from the bass, percussion, drums, keys, elec guitar...the djemba, the congo drums...Oh Nkosi yam! Ndibala ntoni na? benza kakhulu gqithi kunakuqala.
Forever this man lives as a great spirit, a great humanitarian. a great poet, a great teacher, a great friend to us all. King of kings...Lord of lords!!!
Majesty of the GODS was upon Don Kinsey on that guitar solo….Trust me!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 If that guitar solo didn’t shift something inside you, then you’re not alive.
We are taught time heals pain. Not for me. The murder of our beloved Peter 34 years ago is still raw. Time has shown what an incredible soul he was and how much more he had to teach. His spirit walks with me every day. RASTAFARI ❤💛💚🖤✊🏾
Jew post a righteous comment. Sometimes I listen to Curtis Mayfield don't worry if there's a hell below, where All gwan go. So sad one step forward two step backwards.... Hold I Jah
Peter Tosh looks like a biblical figure HIMSELF. What a great and timeless performance. Even if I wasn't there but I believe this is the music the Ancients people of Kermit used to listen to.
Woke up this morning with this power ful nice song dedicated to the most hig jah rastafari I by the grate piter tosh ever living ever sure in this 204 peace and love to each and every one in the whole world
