I've been a fan of Peter White since Year of The Cat with Al Stewart. I went to his concert at the Barona Casino in San Diego and sat on the first row watching him play in a Hawaiian shirt😂
At age 65 you tend to get set in your ways, especially musically. But being cooped up inside, hiding from a virus, is no fun so to help relieve the boredom I fire up my pc every night around 9pm and go searching for music on youtube. Not quite sure how I ended up here but I'm glad I did as this stuff is just so damn good ! I've had my eyes and ears opened to new music , new artists and it's really special. Maybe there's life in this old dog yet !
@@BIX-18827DCM Thanks Chuito. Five months on from my original post and I'm still on that highway ! I'm basically an old rocker, drums and guitars does it for me. But this jazz funk stuff is getting under my skin. It's just so cool.
This will get you rocking if nothing else does. I have been watching these guys in person since early 2000 and they are awesome. I saw a concert once with White, Koz, Mindi, Russell, Benoit, and Braun and Koz jumped on the back of the piano stool while playing his sax and David Benoit was hammering away on the piano. The audience went ballistic.
Absolutely perfect session.. I wish I had the possibility to do just one cruise.. :) It is a petty they don't tape these cruise sessions in HiFi digital and publish.. I know I buy them all..
That Dave Koz is a beast on Tenor! Lotta supreme talent on that stage! Whew! Peter White? Just AWESOME! Mindi is killin it as well!!! Soft funky groove! I luv it! Give the drummer some kudos! Yessir!
Wow! That was great! It seemed -- at least partially -- ad libbed. When White broke into his lead-in to Bueno Funk, it seemed to pleasantly catch the band by surprise. And then there were the obvious signs of White directing the course of the song. Their faces revealed that obvious spontaneous emotional high of musicians knowing that they are "kicking it together" and making great music for the fans. Awesome two-point-ohhhhh!
Mr Timbaletas is channeling Tito Puente Who I once saw play the Frank Lloyd wing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art as part of the reception for Trump's wedding to Marla Maples.
This is the first time I listen to your music Mindi, and you sound great, perhaps you don´t like comparisons but it´s good to hear a female playing the sax. I thought the Dulfers were extinct in the world, but I was certainly wrong!, I enjoyed this video a lot. Congrats to your band too!
