I follow " Trucking Together" on RU-vid, they are a husband & wife team. They got a W900 with a ISX 15 wich is Cummins, they were averaging 6.6. they got a 579 with the automatic & it's got a new low RPM engine, Cummins X15 , at 950 RPM it puts out like 1600 foot lbs torque & they average 8.3 for fuel.. They absolutely love it better than the W900 ,lots more room & much more. They run from Sacramento,CA to Denver,CO two runs per week.
Me too :( I'm prepping myself to buy a 579 instead of a beauty 😢 cause the 579s are cheaper up front and in fuel and my driving job only pays 50k or so.
Now if fuel prices would come down so you could afford to buy fuel for it ! It would be better. Oh by the way, what engine did you have under the hood?
It’s a cool looking truck But I’m not a fan of Peterbuilt There’s only good for hanging Chicken lights on and putting air ride (lowering) the front end
