Personally, I'm not about to get gaslit by the company I've been paying a sub to for the past 19 years. They fucked up, and because they can't fix it, they're calling it an update, complete with "features". It's an erosion of goodwill that began with TBC's portal pass showing a fundamental lack of understanding of the Classic playerbase and a profound lack of respect. It's not even about if the changes are bad or good. It's about honesty, integrity, and trust. They're caught in the lie, and still deny it. They should have just *said* that they messed up. Instead, they play it off like it's an update patch. It's shameless, and speaks volumes about how much they care about the people who are paying good money to play the game. THAT is why we're upset. Not because "old good, new bad". I wish people would look just a little deeper than surface level when it comes to scrutinizing player responses to things like this.

I see people saying x is fine, it's not a big change, etc. it's a slippery slope of these npcs being fine with 100000 small changes and next it wont even be the same game. anyone still playing wow should be ashamed.

I don't want general changes... But I also don't want warriors to be the only dps class.

"You think you do, but you don't" becomes more and more true every day... 1st people went on screaming no changes... then after they got that, they complained and complained, till they got changes... they got stuff added, like the chronoboon, tweaks here and there, and eventualy, a whole new seasonal system and still they demanded more changes... then all of the sudden, couple minial changes get them all to scream "omg why all these changes"... Classic andies make no sense whats so ever.

Whichever developer got their grubby hands in the decision making and changed the guild tab needs to be fired, idc.

Funny, if not for the ERA classic enjoyers "losers" we wouldnt have any classics going at all. This all started cause of vanilla andys and nostalrius.

"losers" for wanting the game they love to not change? The player base doesn't trust blizzard with making any changes to classic and for good reason. Even small changes can turn into big ones with blizzard, I don't play anymore but its disheartening to see people act that way when era servers were meant to be strictly vanilla and the changes blizzard wanted to try out were for SoD and SoM. This will just push people to play private servers even more than they already do

Regardless of whether you think any of the changes are justified by themselves, this is a very bad precedent. These are not some well thought out changes specifically tailored to classic era. they're just dumb accidental mishaps spawned from incompetence that they're trying to play off as intentional now. If there are to be any changes to era they should be polled and only implemented with a large majority approval. Go the OSRS route and nobody will complain.

I believe it has been Blizzard's intention to kill Classic since day one. Why? Because some percentage of those players are going to end up in a version of WoW where there is a cash shop, and the whales produce much more revenue than the subscriptions ever would in Classic. First, it was Season of Mastery, which didn't succeed in dividing the player base enough. Then SoD and finally HC. These didn't divide the player base enough either, so now they are using new tools to start dividing the player base: changes. This is a win-win for Blizzard, because either people will end up quitting Classic, which means some percentage of players will end up back in the versions with cash shops, or people will stay, and then they will be adjusted for more changes, which eventually will lead to a cash shop in Classic.

Already unsubbed and uninstalled. Bye bye Blizz, Hi Turtle WOW.

Stop touching Classic Era, thats LITERALLY the point of its existence. You've got an experimental seasonal mode and they're touching Classic Era? This just opens up the possibility of more stuff being changed.

Why would you have Kargoz make the petition if he has a certain past with the classic community? It is a strange thing to do when you know his history with monetization. I think this is fair to point out.

thing is i hate retail. It's not that im a classic purest, it's just that i haven't enjoyed WoW since WOTLK. I just want a space where I can re-live and enjoy original classic wow as it was back in the day. Why is this seen as a issue but everyome in retail bitch and moan and get instant feedback frm blizzard.

Those changes are amazing and there is absolutely no reason to be upset. Having to get a horde player or pay another subscription account to lvl up a horde for MC to have Rend is the dumbest concept to have especially with Rend being the strongest buff in the whole game. Absolutely, nothing wrong with the changes. None of this changes the actual game other than providing quality of life changes.

I personally think the people that have played the same unchanged games like D2 or classic WoW for 20 years need professional help. That's a lot of regret to look back on later. Wasted life. Ask Ryuquetzlcoatl, he lost it at one point from D2 right as Resurrected launched. Broke down.

Fuck classic era. 1 bg peak hours on a Sunday. (And classic era players say retail is dead 😂😂😂) The rest is an echo chamber of masochists feeding off their own suffering. The game was not meant to be played with gear checks and voice checks for a raid that’s 20 years old and was played on hardware from the 90s and was still easy. Players are taking an easy game, and trying to make it as hard as possible. Blizzard rightfully so isn’t listening to these guys because having the most pain possible in a game isn’t exactly good for business. Like all other versions of wow, they’re nerfing everything and if these shit era servers stay up over the years expect more nerfs

Why now? Chronodisplacer and honor changes were far bigger and more impactful. But people benefitted from these changes so there was no outcry. Only when there is a minor inconvenience people have a problem with changes. These people and this petition are just hipocrites

First of all, I do think that petitions are useless, but at least make one that really matters if you really have to. For example, they clearly do not hear players feedback. They keep saying they always hear our feedback but they clearly don't. We all know that. Just make a petition for THAT and this "restore classic era" problem wouldn't even have started in the first place. Best thing it may happen is that they restore it back to how it was and in a month time they do something ludicrous again, because they clearly don't hear players feedback. They need to invest more on people to listen to our feedbacks, but guess what? They won't, because they are a gazillion cheap-ass dollar company. Blizzard quality.
