ENGINE OIL LEVEL TIP: Top up the engine oil to the brim, so it almost spills over the threads. This is a useful hint for engines fitted with an oil alert because they will not start or may cut out if the oil level is too low. Making sure the oil level is at a maximum will rule out the oil level being too low if you are having problems with starting or keeping the engine running.
