The ARIA is a headlamp designed to meet the needs of professionals. Durable and compact, the ARIA features one button that controls all functions. Depending on your needs, there are four models available with various lumen counts and beam patterns:

All ARIA headlamps are impact resistant (IK07), fall resistant (ANSI/PLATO FL 1, up to 2 meters), and dustproof and waterproof (IP67). Petzl's HYBRID CONCEPT technology allows you to power the ARIA using either 3x AAA or Petzl's CORE battery (ARIA 1R and 2R include the CORE battery).

Sounds great, but how do you open the battery compartment?

CORE battery still using micro-USB rather than USB-C. “New” in 2023 🤦🏻‍♂️

Too complicated to figure out buttons etc. I was in Spec Ops for years. As complicated as this is to get red, green, blue & head lamp you’d get yourself killed. Nope, buy-bye. Take the Millenial/Gen. Zers fancy bells & whistles of what they need to keep their attention. Operators need short, succinct & simple. I threw this lamp in the garbage in less than a month I had it. I still have old school Petzl & other brands that were issues as far back as early 2,000s. They still work. Simple not overly complicated. It’s what I still go too today. No time for Chinese knock off, like the gag rubber DOG shit you buy at Big Lots. Performance & quality will speak. The rest, buy-bye.

you hold the button to cycle through colors and it also stays like that when turning it off and back on, right? i get that simpler can better (i guess you mean just white and red) but if you want white, red, green and blue you would need a button for every color if you dont want to cycle through. so i think its as simple as it gets, no?

ARIA 2 does not work with the CORE battery of my ACTIC CORE . Very bad design, fragile electrical contacts, the closure of the battery compartment fail half the time. Surely not a good purchase.
