In my opinion it is better to install a cold air intake (like mtc motorsport with the ramair filter) as it makes the same sound and it has some performance gains ( mtc motorsport claims 6-7 hp, and there is a video with the same type of intake by forge which shows about 7-9 hp gains on the dyno. And btw this is a spacer not a blow off valve. Some people had issues with turbo leaks from the spacer and they removed it afterwards. Keep an eye on your boost levels (0.8bar steady, 1.0 bar overboost and 0.6 at the rev limiter). Nice video ,keep the good content up, im looking forwards for more mods to the pug
Thanks for all the tips and Cold air intake suggestion, I will maybe buy that too later on and test it on a dyno if it makes more horsepower but I'm just sceptical that an opet air filter like MTC motorsport will suck more hot air when I'm on a track accelerating more than once so engine bay can get pretty hot...Anyway I may be wrong I'm new to these turbo cars but I did mention in the video that its not a proper blow off valve. Still wanted to put in the title because thats what Forge says it is and people heard about 'blow-off valve' more than 'Spacer'. Stay tuned for more videos :D
@@VuckoHD the filter is right behind the open for the air inlet, in the same spot that the stock air intake system sucks air. in the left side of the filter ,where the turbo is, yes it gets a little hot but in the right side in which is the most air sucked from the top part of the filter (the space between the filter and the drivers side headlight) the air is not hot. Unless the car is stasionary there is no issue with the air intake temprature. I would love to see dyno runs with stock and mtc intake as i have it installed in my 207. I will measure the temprature of the intake and post it below. Also the GTI with 175 hp like yours and mine need asap a bigger intercooler as the stock one is very small and there are heat soak issues above 20C temprature.Youu could try the best value for money Seat sport fmi as most 207s, if not all of them, in my country have upgraded to them
@@chrism3403 Okay your explanation about cold air intake placement and logic makes sense, excited to hear from your temperature test. Yes I 101% agree on bigger intercooler, its mot that expensive yet its best to do if someone like me wants to do Stage 1 chip tune to go up to 200hp.
@@VuckoHD well I would not recommend stage 1 chip tune as the stock intercooler and exhaust are not suitable for this power. You should first install a fmi, exhaust with racing cat below the car, not on the downpipe (or cat delete which I don't recommend for health and environmental purposes) and a cai optional. With this setup you can go safe to 240 hp
@@VuckoHD well i did the test. With 16C environmental temperature while cruising at 90km/h the intake temperature was about 18C-19C. When i fully sent it with wide open throttle and gear changes at the revlimiter from a stand to 6000rpm with 4th gear the maximum temperature was 37C which dropped immediately to 22C as soon as I was cruising again without a big load on the engine. What do you think about the results?
I installed forge intake kit and it didn't add any horsepower. It added 40Nm of torque but only between 1700 and 2400 RPM, so the diagram is kinda curvy now :P But the sound psssss woshhh is amazing :)))) Nice car bro ;)
Vucko jel ti javljao neke greske od kad si stavio blow off ili proslo je sve ok bez nikakvih problema? Kupio sam blow off samo onaj Dino Racing narandzasto sa zelene gumice pa me interesuje, danas idem da ga instaliram. Hvala unapred
the downside is if you want to map this car any higher than stage 1 you will need to get rid of that BOV, as it is just a spacer for extra noise. Will need a full BOV kit instead.
@@akatuksta no spacer, just OEM Diverter valve. Just make sure you replace it before running more than 16-17psi. 18-19psi feels good in these once the rear is stripped.
@@AnxietyShaDe no, this is blow OFF instead bypass valve and it can change something. Computer count this air and we dont know how it Will be? Am I right? It s Just an opinion, I am not a pro and cant really say)
Ja sam imao na probleme curenje ulje sa dekle... Kupio novu deklu, nov dihtung. Vodena pumpa odlazi brzo, modifikator itd.. Lanac je za sad ok Planiram da zamenim ulje 5w30 jer mi se na 5w40 čuju hidropodizači
I dont know. But I do know some rich girl bought it new and she probably demanded the car to have regular seats. It also has panorama roof which 99% of GTI's don't have

This is just a noise maker... it does not give you any better performance.... in fact... we have done dyno with it and realised that it decreases power of your engine..... useless item... unless you want a louder swoosh sound to show off....
