This car came to me with a problem on the ABS system.
My fault... at the start I could not communicate correctly with the car... later on the video I will show you why... however, that mistake cost me some time...
But I got there in the end, follow me on this video to find out what was the problem and how I have resolved it in this case.

Greetings from Portugal. Big thank you to this video. It helped me to sort out an error from a Partner B9. Changed the relay, deleted the error and no more ABS light on. Keep on the excellent work.

I like the way you trace the problem. Fantasy work again. I have a 307cc 2008 model which I brought with a broken timing belt and bent valves which is proving to be a problem, somebody already had a go at fixing it so it’s missing several parts which I can’t seem to figure out what they are. They bolt to the cylinder head above the thermostat housing and I think are sometimes to do with the emission control system. Anyway awesome stuff thanks.

Hi. Last Sunday, my peugeot 307 has have a similar flaw with some other problems. The same alarms lights but ... sometimes the rpm meter stops working. I was one step away from blameing the ABS unit. Watching carfully your video (and others) could notice always RPM meter was working. Problem was electrical and easy. Voltage regulator on the alternator was the problem. Too high voltage (sometimes about 17 V) on the car electrical network. I learnt is important take fast electrical measures, for extence voltage on battery, before start to dissasemble the car. I hope some one with a similar issue do not blame ABS unit before check out the voltage on the car.

A new ABS relay is about $15! Good work. The exact same relay is also found in older cars as the fuel pump relay.

Excellent work, my 2005 307 just experienced the same fault code, I found the relay module fixed to the front of the electrical box, easy to get to and remove, not hard to fix, what I didn't realise though is that if you don't have a diag tool that can clear the fault, you need to drive the car up to speed before it learns that ABS is working again and clears the fault - for 3 days now I thought the repair hadn't worked.

I don't want to sound smug, but usually with 307s is - original VAN, restyle CAN. With a small exception for the original (old style) from 2005 which received "restyled" "internals"... Obviously you shoudn't care about such details (not sarcasm, it just doesn't matter judging by the number of different makes of vehicles you work on). I really enjoy all your videos, you have a way to explain and make the repair pretty simple. Thank you and good luck

@@LMAutoRepairs Yes had seen those, but apparently, that is a double relay, one relay is for the reserculation pump on the abs and the other is for the fuel pump ( dual purpose relay box) Thanks for your time mate, il change that over on my van and let you know if it is fixed because If it is fixed, it is down to your video my friend, as my van has exactly the same code and issue as the one in your video, so I'm going to use my intuition and order the duel relay box, thankyou and merry Christmas, please spend time with your wife and kid and leave the cars alone for Christmas, you deserve a break

Looks like fuel pump relay Omron 240107? I picked out that relay from socket for checking, no fault in my case. BTW, no need to open the case of that relay for checking unless it's actually faulty. It can be measured from pins. The internal schematic diagram of that double relay is printed on the top of the case. I have a photo but looks like there is no way to attach it here. Locking of that relay to socket is a kind of overkill: There is a red plastic bracket you need to slide out to release the relay but that bracket is locked with a metal spring you have to pick off first... Inserting that relay back to socket is again a project: I was not able to press it into socket even by force of my two hands. Helping carefully with plumber wrench finally did the job! I have never seen that tight relay socket.

hi, maybe you could answer a question for me re Peugeot 206 hdi, abs problem loss of power inside abs ecu, but why can't I fit another abs from the same model which has a different number, both ATE MK70, ? I'm sure you will know.

The diodes I usually get them from old boards etc... in this case I think I had new ones around... The gun, is a desoldering vacuum gun... Just google it or look on ebay... Thank you for watching!

Great video as usual Do you get alot of Japanese vehicles pass thought your shop . If you do where do you get service info on them . I am in the Bahamas and we have quite a bit .Problem is My Autel nor Launch can auto Indentify Vin so you have to manually identify car. We have models like Nissan Serena Fiat Punto Pinto , Cube and Honda Stream etc all right hand drive. Any info welcomed

Hello! My 2005 1.6 hdi 307 also has this error also. BUT i cannot find the little 2 relay box... I have voltage on the 2 big wires and also on a little one after ignition. But the dash still lights up ABS and STOP! Another thing to mention is that the recirculating pump can be activated from autocom diag. What the devil should be done now? I`m dazzled. Have you checked all the voltages, grounds, etc? That's strange indeed... It is your erros on the ABS the same as on the video?

@@LMAutoRepairs Yes the 2 big grounds are there, the 2 big pozitives also there, one of these was broken (the red) and now is fixed. Same C1381 recirculating pump / electrical fault / permanent. How long does it take for the abs ecu to realise the pump is working? I said before that i can activate it from diagnosis, it's really working. Thanks!

Hi Quite self explanatory... looks like the ECU that is reporting that fault, is not communicating with the dynamics control module... which I assume it might be the ABS/ESP... Hope that helps... Thank you for watching and for your comment!

Hello wonderful video, I still want help from you, I have a Peugeot 307 from 2003 hdi, a problem appeared after a diagnosis on the left rear wheel, a faulty sensor, I made a complete change of the sensor and the reader on the bearing and the abs sensor and esp again light up, which could be the problem?

Hey I have the same car. Sinking brake pedal. I have a new master cylinder fitted, but the problem still there. All brakes have been checked and bled by the garage. Pedal goes hard when engine not running which I understand means servo is good.. So do you think this is faulty abs block? Could you please share your abs block code with me so I can source one?

Hello, I have a Berlingo 2017 van bluehdi 1.6 diesdel. I tried finding this relay at the front of the fuse box cover but its not there. My fault code is c1382 Recirculation pump supply relay fault. I cannot find such a relay anywhere. Have you any experience with this please?

The fault is most likely a generic one... The relay might be somewhere else... Find diagrams etc... 👍👍👍

@@LMAutoRepairs Thanks for your response. Would even Lexia give a generic fault? Thats what I scanned with. No relay mounted on outside, I have a Bosch ESP9.0 pump. Maybe its inside the fusebox or inside the ABS ECU. Got diagram but hard to read! DV6E BVM engine.

Hi Could give a fault generic to the issue... Like, it detects that the pump does not run, but does not specify the issue... The pump is mot likely activated by the ABS/ESP module in your case, it the pump motor is bad, it will might throw that fault... You need to test powers and grounds at the module multiplug.. If all good, it might be the motor... 👍👍👍

@@LMAutoRepairs Hi, Thanks very much for taking the time to respond. I identified the wires and both giving power. I traced up the loom and there is no relay. They go direct to maxi fuse 6 & 8. Despite the wiring diagram telling me in servicebox there is a relay box. I bought a pump and will test off vehicle first. I want to try to change just ecu to avoid bleeding pump.

Test lights were always a thing that confused me. The way I think of them now is that it just lights up to confirm the opposite of what you're connected to Connected to ground --lights up for power Connected to power -- lights up for ground At least I think still confusing

I have those symptoms: -abs light warning -S light, if batterry disconnected, the abs warning light will disappear and not appear back on, immediately. It will turn on after 40 50 min or if driven really fast. Sensors test ok for resistance, magnetic rings look like new. Abs kicks in normal when fault is not on, but after warning light on , just breaks normal . What can it be? Break light switch? Abs main unit? Problem fixed but not coded ?

I have intermittent power steering failure, the steering wheel turns rock solid, and it gets back after turning the car off and on again. Sometimes that is not working either. It stop randomly, after 20-25 minutes of driving, never at a fresh engine start. Sometimes it stops and revives itself out of the blue. I have two codes, that are most likely connected somehow to the ABS module that sends speed info to the electronic power steering pump. C1200 and C1280. The service told me to change the whole pump, but I'm not really into spending 700 euros and the problem keep persisting because it was a damn wire or smth. Any ideas? Amazing work, btw!

Hi Guys... Does anyone deal with P1527 error code in Peugeot 307 (2006)? From 2 weeks now, I have ABS warning light (ABS faulty) follow with Automatic Gearbox Faulty. After that car switch like to safety mode?? Any suggestions? Thank You for this channel. A great knowledge about the things :)

Hi, I just watched this video and would truly congratulate you for your bright mind. If you can trace a fault this way and find out what is going wrong, I recall the issue of the BPGA (Battery Management Unit) on PSA vehicles (mine is C4 II B7 120 VTi). When I asked you if the unit can be repaired you said it's tricky and better replaced. Now I have the Citroën diagnosis of the issue and it says the the ss relay inside the unit is faulty. Now I have the wiring official diagram. Is it possible to open the unit like you did here and just replace the faulty relay like you did with the diods.

@@ahmedboom28 Start if you haven't already, by checking that the fan is good, relays and fuses... If you have a bidirectional scanner, actuate the fan and see if works.... check codes and live data... Hope that helps... Thank you for watching and for your comment!

When the steering rack dropped down it pulled the steering shaft apart at the spline. I already calibrated it. 👍 No drama. Just need a wheel alignment. Ask steering and suspension parts are new 😛.

My 2012 Peugeot 308 diesel only 29000 miles warning lights came on including the power steering and the power steering failed while i was driving ... the fault was the alternator apparently if your battery drops below about 11 volts all hell breaks out the car will try to kill you and your passengers ... new alternator £500 fitter ... sound expensive but the alternator was about £400..
