Me too, my parents had a 2004 peugeot 307 xt with 2 liter petrol engine from 2008 to 2019 and it was such an amazing car for my childhood, super comfortable, smooth and beautiful. i loved everything about this car but one day my parents traded it with a 2010 peugeot 308 and i didn't know about it and it was a surprise to me and i couldn't ride in the 307 for the last time😔. but luckily we had a neighbor that had a peugeot 307 xt too and he was letting me and my mom drive the car recently and then i had a nostalgia feeling after 1 year without the peugeot 307 and my mom wants it again too😂. my parents had to sell it because one of the mechanics that was handling the car did something wrong and then there were problems of coolant leaking, anti pollution wich takes more fuel and ac gas leaking and mostly because of the ac they sold it unfortunately. but im thinking about buying this car again in the future And invest in it. (sorry about the long comments)
Absolutely love my 307. She’s a 2007 facelift sport three door. My first car and had her two years. Really interesting to see how they were put together! Although seeing how the engine, suspension and subframe all went in as one piece explains why changing my sump was such a pain in the backside 😂
Well, I've had mine for nine years now, done 186.000km, nothing has broken down or malfunctioned. I take care to change oil at 10.000km and use top brand oil and filters. Never let me down, would buy it again
@@rufusgriffin5596 Wow do you still have it nowadays? how many kilometers ? my sister got one 307 2.0 hdi 90 and my parent have two 307 phase 2 from 2006 with 1.6 and still rocking at 300k km my c4 2006 with 1.6 same, still rocking at 300k km also PSA are king really (maybe not the best fiability but they knew how to make car for sure)
My first car Peugeot 307 1.4 xr,Recife blu,e production year 2003. I sold that car after 6,5 year with 66000km and by new 308 also 1.4 VTi, sold after 4,5 year and 62000km and buy third Peugeot but this time 3008 Allure with 1,6 HDi and 116 HP engine and after 2 year and 4 months, already have 37000km. So last 14 year driving only Peugeot cars.
My sister owns a HDI and I've been driving it for a year. Even though the body shell dents easily and everything plastic is low quality plastic I would still have the 307 over the Focus and the competition. The style and shape has gone dull and the steering and suspension components knock and wear out easily but they are brilliant family runabouts if you look past all that. They aren't perfect but they are a joy to drive and people who slate them seriously havn't had one or driven one.
I own a Seat Leon TDI FR but I also drive a 307 HDI. If you listen to the bashing from people who own Astras/Focuses then you are an utter plonker. 307's are absolutely brilliant on fuel, space and everything. They are such an enjoyable little family car to drive wherever you go with them and they will serve you well. If you pour scorn on them you havn't driven one, had one or spent long enough with one. I couldn't put it any other way and if I didn't have my Leon I would have a 307 myself 110%
just bought one, 2007 -158000 km 1.6 HDI 90HP !!! drives very good but the windshield is a but awkward.. very sloped... but I'll get used to it hopefully... :)
I am looking to buy one... I just hope that it doesn't give up at the drop of a hat. But it is the French way. I'll still keep my Benz though as it automatically heads to Paris when i'm not looking... haha happy motoring. The Pug should be good.
I have a 2007 307 1.6hdi 109hp. Decent car, I'd like it better of the suspension was a little more confortable and more reliable. Overall it's a decent car.
My parents got also 2006 307 but 90hp (1.6) and i don't know why the suspension are a bit rough my sister got the first 307 with 2.0 and the first version of 307 are more confortable
2011 - 32000km 1.6 presence, bought brand new. 6x engine/gearbox mounts replaced already(2x times all them). clutch replaced. all brakes(pads and discs) were replaced. all shock absorbers were replaced. internal noises(a lot), many plastic furniture clamps broken making plastic parts vibrate. battery replaced. exhaust broken at half and welded twice already. the windshield cleaning element has no manual mode, once turned on, it will shut off when it wants(I tried to disable automatic mode).
Last week my wife's Toyota died precisely in the middle of a curve. What a mess it created with traffic jamming on both sides of the road. Luckily the tow truck took a bit less than an hour to arrive and tow it away! But until then we both had a "knot on the throat" with the mess it created. Talk about Murphy's law! Just 30 meters before or after would be no trouble at all! But no, had to be precisely in the middle of the curve! LOL 😂
After watching this, it's hard to imagine our world dictates a cars worth by how much it depreciates.. Look at all the energy, resources and man hours required to make one fleet of cars - that after they've run their life are sold at fraction of their initial cost. The materials used dont reflect value. But this imaginary value of 'depreciation' made up by our culture and manufacturers themselves are the cause for the effective junking of perfectly reserve able cars. Planned obselence so ironic.
i have a peugeot 307 with 83000km and so far it had 83000 problems,, unbelievable ( in 4 months i have changed Alternator, front engine mount, Coil for the spark plugs, gear mount, other than the expensive periodic maintenance) and still the AC evaporator is not working and thus very hot air coming out of the vents which will cost around $1000 to change at the dealer. :(
"expensive periodic maintenance..." on a Peugeot/ Citroen?!! Are you joking? Surely one of the cheapest!! This from a guy that has Peugeot, Citroen, Toyota, Mercedes and Renault...at present!! So be careful with the fairy tales! ;-)
