Comparison of car acceleration: Peugeot 407 Coupe 2.7HDI V6 BiTurbo 204km 440Nm 2007r and Peugeot 407 Coupe 3.0HDI V6 BiTurbo 240km 450Nm 2011r Test 0-100km/h, 0-150km/h
Own both engines. 2.7 on a 607 and a 3.0 in 407 coupe. The 2.7 is faster than in this clip. No sport is engaged. He puts it in sport only at the end. The 3.0 is a bit faster, but not that big of a difference. Reliability wise....never had any issue with them. The gearbox is a bit of a dog, but still , coul be worse. I don't know for what reason ,the 2.7 has a better sound than the 3.0. Sounds more "muscular" as to say.
I'm very interested to know your opinion about the car's reliability and some important points to be aware of. I have a Peugeot 407 SW 2.7 V6 HDi Biturbo and have encountered many problems with this engine. It's a very nice car with good acceleration and everything, but it has many problems.
@@iiNe0 agreed. It has some famous problems as the engine is not simply from Peugeot. It’s the same in land rover and jaguar and ford. The point is that i have not faced major problems except the long crank time in summer! The glow plugs don’t activate like other cars in summer! And in winter it starts so easily for me! Anyway if you buy a bmw then you see that your car is still much better in terms of maintenance
@@Czevak 9 months later xd.. the 2.7 is just bad in any way you can think. It may be pleasant to drive if everything is fine with him, but that won't be for very long.
I have cold start problems in summer. How can i know what it is? The diagnosis says injector 3 is clogged or too wide. After it warms up it works like butter
@@alfamonk Engines are differently tuned. The 2.7 is revving fast and higher where its got power. The 3.0 is revving slow, with feel of torque, at high rpms its pretty much the same feeling. The big+ is consumption around 7,4L over my last 8000kms vs 8,4 on 2.7L. But if i should choose between 2.7 and 3.0 i will simply take car in better overall condition and good service.
Thankyou for video! I can't find a 3.0 hdi in U.K :/ il buy a 2.7 remap ecu and gearbox ecu there are company's here that program both. Delete egr. swirl flaps? And dpf. Maybe 248 bhp 395ft/lband change the oil regularly haha
@@alfamonk No collaboration. PSA gave excellent 2.0 and 2.2 hdi to ford, and ford revenged with 2.7 and 3.0 tdv6 engine. Those engines were completely designed in ford dagenham centre. But they have very bad crankshaft desing and thin bearings. All of them will die one day due to broken crankshaft or spinned bearings.
C UN VEAU LE 2.7L PAS DE COUPLE !!! RIEN DE MIEUX QU UN 6 CYLINDRES MINIMUM OU UN V8 COMME J'AI DEPUIS LE DEBUT DES ANNEES 2000 ET QUELQUE SOIT LE VEHICULE DE PREFERENCE ALLEMAND BIENSURE !!!
