Peugeot 508 2020 review 

It was such a silly criticism by the presenter, given that seat height adjustment would solve the problem. It's like saying the rear view mirror suits me, but wouldn't suit taller or shorter drivers...you adjust it man 😐

And one year later I have not seen any getting about, although I’m not in Melb too often (we are in the country) I really like the Wagon (not a fan of SUV’s) but a bit cautious of the fact that only near new vehicles on sale are dealer demos, does that mean no one bought any or they are not selling because they don’t need to upgrade because they are that good?

chucku00 I was wondering there was height adjustment for the steering. Either might overcome the problem

@@berniesutton7277 It was only a rhetorical question. And there is full adjustment for the steering and the seat of course. All this flashy interior for the ergonomics of a 504 ? This review is quite weird overall.

Yes seat and steering wheel can be adjusted, but i can see how this may be a little issue for some people after being in one! But at my height 5.9” i had no problem in seeing the dash!

The engine does seem to give a good amount of power for its size. Though sadly it doesn't drive as sporty as it looks.

Agreed. it's truly beautiful inside/out. That said, with the FCA/PSA merger now in full-force, I wonder if Peugeot will even re-enter the market or if this basically just becomes a suitable platform for future Dodge, Chrysler, etc. products. It would be a shame as the styling language would definitely stand out in a crowd in the U.S. Tap into unused FCA capacity to build this car locally (save on tarriff's, build goodwill with the American public) and get it NHTSA and CAFE certified, work on a more powerful engine option (maybe a 2.0T version?) and hybrid variant (platform is built for it) to compare with the ringbearer Honda Accord and Toyota Camry mid-size options. This could be an interesting option in the U.S.

Probably for the higher end model....who knows.

@@that_beetle_guy The Peugeot is more expensive, because they only offer the highest trim level in Australia. Here in Europe, the 508 and the Mazda 6 are indeed competitors and actually Mazda has the better image, while both offer the same quality level lately.

No, it's because the United States changed its regulations in order to force foreign car companies out of the market. It's called protectionism. The PSA Group (Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Opel, Vauxhall) is the second best selling car conglomerate in Europe behind the VW Group. The Renault - Nissan - Mitsubishi Alliance is the best selling conglomerate on the planet. And in both these cases the French companies are the ones carrying the group technologically, Renault rescued Nissan from bankruptcy in the nineties and Opel / Vauxhall are quickly transitioning to PSA tech.
