" Chewie doesn't speak English, nor does Han. English won't be invented for many years." To quote John Mulaney, "First of all, get out of here with your facts!"
I got that immediately, because I played various versions of the Star Wars RPG and all of them repeated the information that the language is called "basic" multiple times.
Um, actually, the Officer Jennies and Nurse Joys within the Pokemon universe are not completely identical, as Brock is able to tell the differences between the different town's representatives. (They have slightly different hair lengths, wear different perfumes, or have other subtle differences like that... yes, I know, Brock is also obsessive about this.) Edit: Brock also has the ability to denote whether a Nurse Joy/Officer Jenny is real or not....
Um, Actually we see Nurse Joys in training who were not related to another Nurse Joy and so technically not all nurse joys are part of an extended family
Um actually, in cowboy bebop the dog's name is Ein. Ein is an example of *a* data dog. The way the statement is phrased makes it sound as though someone refers to Ein by the *name* "data dog" however that is incorrect as it is never used as a name, only as a description. That would be like you being "known as human."
Uuhhh Tank! by The Seatbelts is not electro synthpop. It's like the most purely Bebop jazz tune in the whole show. There literally isn't a single electric instrument. It's a percussion section, horns, and a bass. And they don't even use an electric bass guitar, they use an actual upright bass. Calling it electro synthpop is so incredibly innacurate. That's like calling Bob Dylan a funk musician.
Um, actually. Tank! is actually not regarded as jazz by its composer Yoko Kanno. She regards it as closer to being "brass-funk". In fact, there's only a couple of tracks within the show that she actually wrote as jazz music.
@@TheCanipaEffect yeah, that's a good description if the track. The percussion is definitely more funk than jazz, and the brass section is way bigger and has a more distinct and clear melody than anything usually found in Bebop. That said, the influence is pretty undeniable. Still definitely not electro synthpop, though lol
Um, Actually The Doctor is way older than 900, the 10th Doctor was 900-ish at the end but then 11th lived for around a thousand years, 12th lived for several thousand years (or billions, if you include the time inside the Confessional, (which I don't)), and I don't remember if they mention The Doctor's age during 13th time.
lol I just wrote a long ass comment about this thinking no one else had, totally agree. i think 13th's age *might* be mentioned in one of the teasers/intros/big speeches but the doctor is *definitely* older than 900 though there's no 100% clear statement on how old the doctor is beyond 10's explicit mentions to my knowledge.
Yknow what's wild tho? Since Clara ripped herself apart into every moment of The Doctor's life, she's technically older than him by like 20 or so years because of the time she lived before living in all of his moments... Don't be mad that I don't remember how old Clara is :(
Came here to say this. Was super surprised when nobody corrected the age which as far as I can remember the Doctor (mostly thinking around 11th) is 945 years old.
Love how Middleditch knew immediately Wolverine was from Canada, then goes and calls "z" zed. Of course you'd know Wolverine was from your country. I would.
Um, actually, the Doctor lies about his age quite often, to the point where he supposedly can't remember his real age. So although he claimed to be 900 years old at the start of the series reboot, we have no way of knowing. Plus, in the most recent series arc, the Doctor learns that she had lived many lives prior to the original series, which she doesn't remember (unless the Master or someone was lying about that, which is possible).
Umm actually, he states during capaldis run that he is 2000 years old (excluding timeless children) and he is trapped in the confession dial for 4 billion years
@@angussherlock8777 it might be 4 billion years from the moment The Doctor first entered the Confession dial (or whatever it's called), until The Doctor left it, but The Doctor that left it spent only a couple of weeks (at most) inside.
Um actually "Adun Tassadar" isn't a Protoss phrase. You just took two Protoss names and slapped them in the same speech bubble. Common phrases using those names are "Adun toridas," which means "Adun hide you" or "Adun keep you safe," and "En taro ___," which means "in honor of ___" usually the name of a venerated Protoss hero fills that blank such as Adun or Tassadar.
I feel like if you're going to accept "USS" as part of the Enterprise's name, then you'd also have to accept "Battlestar" for the Galactica. But since that wouldn't have otherwise changed the order I might have given it to him... UNTIL he tried to use the Picard song to justify his answer, as the pictured ships *clearly* "Star Treking, across the universe, on the Starship Enterprise, under captain Kirk!"
Umm, actually USS is a prefix whereas Battlestar would be a class. It's the difference between Mr. Thomas Middleditch and Humon Thomas Middleditch but it is true that his name in both cases is still Thomas Middleditch so Enterprise and Galactica would both be the correct name
@@shadebug Umm, actually the term "Battlestar" is not a class, it's more like a designation to show it as a capital ship. There are many classes of Battlestar, with the Galactica in the reimagined series belonging to the Jupiter class.
Um, actually it's not "The Serenity" it's just "Serenity" And Um, actually Han speaks Shyriiwook in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Aaaaannd... Um, actually Halle Berry did an accent in the first X-Men movie, but she dropped it after that.
This episode originally came out in 2018, so they might've been trying to avoid Solo spoilers. Also, it doesn't say he can't speak Shyriiwook, it says he doesn't, which is, in general, true. And the reason is also true. I don't think I'd call that a valid correction.
"Everyone knows the Starks and the Lannisters." Umm, actually most people mistakenly believe the phrase 'a Lannister always pays his debts' are their words, but in reality it's 'Hear Me Roar.'
Umm, actually your claim would require accurate polling information to be true. At this point, you're speculating. In fact, the safer assumption would be that "most people" have never heard of the Starks nor the Lannisters. Viewership and readership of the series is multiple orders of magnitude lower than the global population.
The viewership though, has heard "A Lanister always pays his debts" far more often than the actual house motto, if they have watched all episodes equally as often.
@@CappySambo Um actually, the claim would require accurate polling information to be *known* as true. The trueness or falsehood of a claim exists independently of the demonstration of such.
@@nicholascurran1734 Its not that she doesnt say it, its an editing issue. You can tell there is a cut right at that moment. There are people tracking the 'um actually' part behind the scenes (host has been interrupted to point out someone missing saying it at times in other episodes).
@@d4rksol123 Just as the host and probably most of the audience did, it would be easy for the BTS verifiers to miss the lack of "um". WE NEED CLARITY, RELEASE THE UNEDITED TAPES!
True however an unstated rule which has been demonstrated multiple times is that if nobody (Trapp, BTS people, or fellow contestants) catches that the answerer didn't say "Um, Actually" then they get the point. Like a wrestling referee.
8:00 Um actually the doctor is over 1000 years at this point. He gained like a 100years in season 7 or so. Who knows how much older she's by now. And also I don't have Twitter 😂
At this point I just assume The Doctor is every being in the universe. "Timeless Child" ruined everything, even the 50th anniversary means nothing if The Timeless Child is a thing. Infinite amounts of regeneration means The Time Of The Doctor meant NOTHING.
Yeah, but it feels like a bit of a retcon. It certainly feels implied at the start of the book that he had taught it more that one year. I dont think muggle studies was even a thing in book 1
@@redbeard5939 I have watched a few, but it's explicitly stated in the half blood prince that since Voldemort was refused the job, that no-one had lasted more than a year. A more accurate um actually would have been that they didn't teach defence against the dark arts in Harry's 7th year, they taught dark arts instead.
Um actually "Adun Tassadar" doesn't make any sense as a phrase in Khalai, those are both just nouns. "Adun Toridas" is a common phrase that means "may the shadow of Adun protect you"
With love, please throw in some ad breaks for the full episodes. We love seeing the whole episodes and want to support the possibility of getting more whenever it becomes possible to film them.
there are three wookie langs, but shyriiwook is a universal trade lang that outsiders learn. the other two are only spoken by natives of the Kashyyyk system!
SPOILER : .. . . . . .. If zach had said "chewie doesn't understand english" he would have been technically correct, but he had to go and say that chewie doesn't understand anything lol.
Um actually, Nurse Joys and Officer Jennys, while it's true they're family, but more specifically, they're cousins. Also, not an um actually, more like a fun fact: Nurse Joys go to a nurse training program and are raised to be nurses along with their helper pink healer pokemon (differs depending on the region). And the anime has shown some Nurse Joys who either don't have the region's pink healer helper, dislike their job, flunked out of medical school, or have helper pokemon who are different from the others.
Um Actually, the image used of the starship from Star Trek is that of a generic ship. It is not denoted on the hull that it is the USS-Enterprise. Meaning that it should be referred to as a Constitution Class Starship 2260S.
I don't know about Um, Actually, but Dropout is still producing new stuff. This is an old episode though, they posted the first half on the main channel a while back.
I was coming to ask this exact thing, like if college humor isn't a thing anymore will this show continue, it's definitely my favorite new series from them, also are they still making content on dropout? I understand they're probably on an upload schedule putting episodes from dropout onto this channel but will it always be on dropout first or are they shifting to just uploading on this channel?
You can typically tell they are old, when they have the mid episode fan corrections, they are timestamped. One posted the other day was commented back in 2017. Lol In this episode @7:07 you can see the timestamps of October of 2018
Probably somewhere in bere but U.S.S. is a prefix for all commosioned ships in the US Navy. Prefix is not included in the name of the ship and is dropped when the ship is decomissioned.
Isn't the defense against the dark arts teaching position more than just seemingly cursed? If i recall correctly someone (I don't recall who, probably Voldemort) did curse the position and that is one of the reasons why Dumbledore kept Snape out of the position for so long as to prevent anything from happening to him?
Tom Riddle returned to Hogwarts shortly after Dumbledore became headmaster and asked for the job, but Dumbledore knew he was already super shady so turned him down. Nobody stayed for more than a year after that.
Man, Becca Scott got screwed over in this episode. Ein is never called Data Dog as if it's his proper name, and Storm was actually born in New York City before journeying to Africa as a young girl.
Um, actually Becca still got the extra point for the Storm fact, and they never claimed Data Dog was his proper name, just that Ein is known as Data Dog, so it could just be that he's talked about by that name without using it as a proper name.
This episode is three years old so I’m not going to tweet this but um actually Han has been seen to speak to Chewbacca in his language in Solo: a Star Wars story
10:58 - um, actually, there is no indication that any of the Pevensies had sex. No heirs of their line are mentioned, and while Lewis does say that many different princes WANTED to marry Lucy or Susan, there is no indication that they or their brothers were ever wed in Narnia (and since Aslan is Literally Jesus, having sex outside of marriage would not have been allowable for them).
Because it feels in the spirit of this type of game, I would like to point out that I got the GoT houses and phrases sorted in about 20 seconds and I only watched about two and a half seasons of the show.
I'm glad she got that last point. Because she was absolutely right about jacking up the car before you remove the tire. So they both should have gotten a point for that one.
Um actually, Adun Tassadar are the names of two figures in Protoss history. Tassadar being the templar that sacrificed himself to destroy the zerg overmind during the invasion of Aiur, and Adun being the philosophical figurehead behind the Khalai religion. The phrase may be a misrepresentation of "Adun Toridas", which is a Nerazim expression meaning "Adun hide you".
Not sure you can say that "USS" is part of the name, but "Battlestar" is a designation. Plus, the image you used of the Enterprise doesn't show it's registration as far as I can see? So that could be the Defiant, or any other Constitution heavy cruiser from pre-refit.
