Just awful by Jones. A 5th year QB that demanded elite QB pay at $40mm / year, staring down his first progression and not seeing his wide open star TE in the end zone.

As a lifelong eagles fan who grew up celebrating anytime Eli lost, this genuinely hurts to watch. Eagles fans are assholes, but most are pretty realistic at the end of the day. If we suck as a team we’ll usually say it. We have no misplaced sense of being a great franchise (at least the reasonable fans). As much as I despised Eli as a giants player, I always respected him as a qb and hated him BECAUSE he was good. Now that he’s retired I greatly enjoy watching and listening to him, and feel bad about all the hate he got at the linc. Sucks seeing a great player watch his former team AND replacement suck so badly while he just has to sit there. Feels bad man. Genuinely.
