@Bill Blass Those were my words. Like I said earlier today, I was paraphrasing a sentiment he implied... That Mahomes is physically capable of doing things that young QBs are typically instructed specifically *not* to do - throw off platform, throw against his body, throw back to middle of the field against 2 deep safeties, etc. Mahomes gets away with a lot of things others cannot because of his freakish vision and ungodly talent. Manning acknowledged that in the video. I was just making a joke. Not intended to be taken too seriously. Again, I shouldn't have used quotation marks. My apologies.

Or just Peyton. The Romo commentary was way over hyped. Peyton talks about all aspects of the play and their options as if you were sitting with him having a beer. This may bug some people, but I think Peyton could be another John Madden. The only people that laugh at that statement outright are the ones who only know the caricature of Madden, and not his actual football acumen. Peyton has the same combination of affability and knowledge of the game that Madden did. Probably moreso. Peyton is an entertaining character. We've all seen his commercials, dude is funny. You can see it here as well, with his explanation of the "squirrel" route. He's making you laugh, but also teaching you something. His analysis is obviously STELLAR> I mean, it's Peyton Manning. We KNOW that he knows what he's watching. But he also seems to know how to explain it. He needs to be the face of the NFL's coverage.

@@timquick7663 At first Brady was just a game manager who rode his defense to the Super Bowl and that's all he really was up until Moss. With Brady nowadays it's become the defenses allowing him to do what he wants. The Patriot offense is built on dink and dunk, any throw over 15 yards is a rarity and when Brady does go long he's not actually that accurate. If you run a defensive scheme that takes away the short stuff and doesn't worry about the guy going long you'll hold them back pretty well. The Jaguars did that for three and a half quarters in last year's AFC championship game and they were destroying that offense. Then in the final few minutes they developed a fear of the deep ball and started playing soft coverage. The Patriots then proceeded to dink and dunk their way to victory as soft coverage leaves that completely open. The Patriots don't score at the end of the first half or the end of the game because of scheme or player quality. They score because teams are used to going into soft coverage, or get scared into it by the Patriot reputation, and end up allowing Tom Brady to do exactly what he was going to do anyway. I put Brady behind a good number of player's for best qb of all time because of that, but there's no denying that he's the greatest dink and dunk qb of all time.

the record breaking TD @ 6:52 just hammers down the earlier "predictatory" route stuff he was talking about earlier... the ball is 15 yards outta Manning's hands before Stokely is even finishing his break back to the post...the added meta of the "smash" signal is even more epic. Awesome analysis. Can't wait for the MNF mega-cast ish this year!

Yea he was for 18 years I dont think he could be a oc now and not playing cuz he would be mad at the qb and wanting to suit up lol no other qb has the same brain as he does that's way sometimes in the playoffs he gets beat cuz he over thinks things and plus in the playoffs u could get rough with his wr and he didnt hav s the strongest arm to rip passes in so if u knocked his wr off track it messes Payton up

I'd love to study film with Peyton. I was pissed he bumped my Bears out the Super Bowl, but have to respect him. Especially when he was in Denver. He got bumped out the Playoffs by Baltimore and sat on that for about 7 months. First game of the season, he torched them for 7 TDs! I like my athletes to be like that. Up to that game, I hated him lol But coming back after neck surgery and then that game, I had to respect dude. He's witty and funny, too. Always like the man, but hated the Colt he was lol
