Original air date: May 19, 1969 on ABC. In trying to build a defense for Mike, Steven meets with Marsha......Betty tells Norman he should fight for what's his....
It seems that Betty believes in the label 'illegitimate' why she would now emphasise it as a description of Stephen, who let's not forget was once her husband. How could she be so callous? She, who once conceived a child out of wedlock? Shame on her to stress that difference between Norman and Rodney on one side and Stephen on the other, whose side she was on previously.
haven't heard the ters ''illegitimate'' in soooo long, here, it sounds weird...PP was an immediate hit for so many reasons: there was nothing like it on television at that time: ''illegitimate'' children abounded everywhere on/in PP.....
Here’s what would have made the most sense, if the 3 grandsons would join together and try to get the final will overturned. After all, the nurse came forward and told Steven that Wainwright(that shifty attorney) influenced Martin Payton in his semi-delirium to change his will and leave his fortune to the Peyton foundation. No doubt that Wainwright has a position on that board it will be paid handsomely.
@@dannyhill8797 When I was first watching Peyton Place in 1966 when I was 11 I was a little too naive to understand everything.("Hey Mom,what's an illegitimate child?")
Norman and Rod should both be interested in getting their share of Martin Peyton's money. One should always have a nest egg for safety; one never knows when money is needed for a new car, an illness, or whatever. Even if they don't want to touch the money and put it in the bank for safe keeping, they should have the money.
"Legitimate grandson". So sad that in those days they labelled someone, who didn't ask to be born out of wed-'lock', as 'illegitimate'. A judgement on the child for the 'illegitimate' actions of the adults.
Barbara Parkins last episode as Betty even though she renains in the credits til the end. You won't know more about her and Rid until the reunion movie Peyton Place : The Next Generation which was a pilot for a proposed new series.
Rossi had no reason to kill Fred. There is no motive. Marsha is divorced and was clearly not going back to her ex- in fact she rejected him. Fred had motive to split up the pair. She was looking forward to marrying Michael and Michael knew that.
That was a nice continental breakfast they served Doc Rossi in jail. Is that Captain Crunch cereal? And the coffee has no cream in it. Guess You can't have everything behind bars.
Watched all episodes until the end. But did not care for the characters of Marsha and her daughter and the black doctor's family although I liked the black doctor who worked with Mike Rossi as he was an excellent actor. Just fast forwarded over the characters I did not like in last several dozen episodes. This series was MUCH better in the early seasons. But was glad to see the Allison MacKenzie character disappear. Got tired of her deadpan expression and speaking barely above a whisper.
I think Susan did the dirty deed. They were together that day drinking. I've tried to find out who did, but every single place I google says Rossi gets acquited but never says who did it. Wish we could access Return To Peyton Place 1972-1974.
Betty is so spiteful towards Steven! Good on Norman as he and Rodney are not interested in the Peyton money and happy for Steven to have it. But Betty seems vindictive
What happend at the jail of p.p. AreThe all suspected in murder. Stay with their suites for a weeks?? Or.... The jail uniform Laundry workers are in a long vication😂😂 12:17
+Sam Edwards As Billy Hurley commented, Ryan had to leave before the series filmed its final few episodes due to having to be on the set to film "Love Story". A shame, really, that he couldn't be around until the very end of "Peyton Place". :-(
