Respected dentists/BDSs this post of mine is for my mental health regarding dentistry. I got my lower left incisor tooth (single tooth) crowned just for cosmetic purposes. Although I requested it but I wasn't aware that crowning of tooth is an invasive procedure. It was half dicolored from the gum line & wasn't too visible either. It been more than 2.5 years since I got the crown by a dental technician. I am somewhat in remorse over my decision to get the tooth crowned as my tooth enamel was significantly drilled & just a peg tooth remained over which a pfm crown was fitted. Although there was pain sometimes in the first year but as of now there isn't any pain for quite a long time. Sometimes some questions do pop up in my mind that I shouldn't have done this. Also, can crown work well as we age & step in old age as I will need a crown for ever as no one likes gaps in their teeth. (I'm a male, 35 years age). Please help me cope with such unsettling thoughts.

Yes, PFM comes exactly 7 years. Just now, I got my crowns replaced. I also got failed root canon retreatment done successfully. Last time dentist done in very rush manner. But, this time they took long time. Because after failed root canol my tooth became lose. after only 20 days. it stopped loseness and got stronger. This time I will well take care of my dental hygeine also. one more thing. if you get bridged crowns. sometimes you don't know if your one of tooth is lose or getting infected. because I got bridge braces. last year I suspected my tooth was lose. but dentists coudn't figure it out. many said. Its not moving. I suggest people to go with individual crows rather than bridge. otherwise if one teeth fails you will have to remove braces on the other tooth too. so it will double your cost in the future.

Metal ceramic bhi agar le rahe hai to thoda sa standard wala le jaise dmls caps jo around 4500 se 6000 ke beech ka aata hai jisme 15 yrs guarantee milta hai!!!

क्या कैप आउट भी हो सकती है क्योंकि जब नाप लिया था तो मेरा ही दाँत और मेरे ही कैप थी, अब जब कैप निकल गई और वापस फिट करवाने जा रहा हूँ तो डॉक्टर बोल रहे है कि कैप आउट हो गई हैं, क्या दाँत छोटा या बड़ा हो जाता हैं

actually sadan mostly hamare dant se hokar root me jaati he, is wajah se root canal karvani padti he pura daant me andar tak drill karke hole kar dete he aur fir usme material fill karke cap lagate he, mere 4 sittings hue he 1 root canal me, mere 3 daant me sadan he usme se 2 daant me late ho gya to root canal+cap hoga , 1 hi daant me cavity root tak nahi gyi to usme normal filling karvana pada. medicine me doctor anti biotic dete he taki wo jo sadan he wo germs ki bni he to unke saamne body protect kr shake temporary, and dusrri medicine pain killer hoti he jo germs kill nahi karte but pain me help karti he. so pain killer lene ka kuch matlab nahi he bcz germs to jese the wese hi rhege aur jorr se brush karoge fir bhi germs andar hi rhege actually root canal me root ke niche ke live tissues ko dead banana hota he so germs live tissues ke sath hatt jaaye. to jorrr se brush karne se khali upar ka layer aapka aur weak hoga. Try to clean your mouth without weakening it, If i knew this I wouldn't have to go through this procedure. mere 1 daant ka cavity virus ki tarah aage ke daant me fail gya, and I am still young. so I hope this helps you any way, and you try to take the treatment asap [if you can't afford it, still do it, you can go to govt hospital they do root canal in 300-700rs only + cap costs]

@@karanparmar4318 thank you so much for information...main bhi tooth problem face Kar rahi hoon😭 muze corona ki wajah let huwa tha😣 ab muze one tooth nikalna hain...aur uske wajah Se side ka small cavity infect hua, hain...muze nikalkrr Implant, bola, main implant afford nhi Kar sakte...aur mere age bhi 22 hain,main space bhi nhi rakh sakti, Becoz side tooth move karte hain, plz can you tell in government hospital, what is cost of implant...🙏 plz Batana main one month Se pareshan hoon, main tooth nikalna nhi chahti implant Kar nhi sakti
