This is what I call ACTING... Kubvira kwekutanga kusvika kwekupedzisira tichinakirwa chete chete... Your drama is short and precise... I love you guys you are Professionals ☺😉
This film shows the typical African attitude towards women in Zimbabwe, maiwee we have along way to go! To top it all up the writer (who I assume is male) had to depict the villain as the 'wicked step mother' who rendered the father powerless to look after and protect his daughter. How many step mothers have received and shared pfuma yevaridzi?? Nicely done to blame the women for the other other woman's suffering. Then we complain about other races dehumanizing us when we ourselves have people in our communities who 'just don't matter'.
what a load of nonsense you are talking. Have even read the credits? This wonderful and extremely reflective account of everyday life in Zimbabwe was actually written by a woman and that woman is the one who plays a Shumba. Beautiful this is. It is people like you who have serious problems by not realising how powerful such a drama can be
"Its people like you who have serious problems" Are you serious? Whatever happened to writing your different opinion without the dramatics???People are actually allowed not to think the way you do Dee!
another convoluted feminist in the comments, the writer is female by the way and Patsime define themselves as an Edutainment initiative. Its not a blame game, they just portrayed what happens in the society as it is, anything wrong with that? I was raised by a step mother and went through hell
Jossie's father failed to protect his daughter, he failed to raise her, and was MIA, dead beat dad, and just shows up pamarooro, typical of many african homes, look at it from this angle as well: The film simply depicts the suffering and negligence women go through in Zim, and only when money is involving the father and relatives show up then after that they are gone, she suffers alone til death
Its a really sad drama,as true as it is vakadzi havadi kutambira vana vevarume asi wavo hanzi ngaagare madiro...dai hunhu ihwohwo hwachinja Mwari apindira shuwa..
