Bro, what u said is absolutely true ..i myself did PG in cloud computing , and then went through udemy courses , did my certifications in AWS , GCP.. it's waste of money to do PG courses ..there is lot material n resources out there .. PG in cloud computing is bullshit ..pls avoid .. no need to spend lakhs on it..
Hi GK, there is a reason why there is demand for PG courses. They are for people in this situation: - Looking a classroom-based environment with actual live training - Want a community of peers to interact with real-time - Have money / a decent income, and willing to invest a large amount of money It’s usually not for the goal of getting a certificate and to look good to employers. The limitation with Udemy courses is that it’s self-paced. I agree that PG courses are not for everyone. Students / people with a lower budget should not fork out large amounts of money for them. However, there are people who do benefit from attending a course like that. So instead of saying these courses aren’t worth it, it’s better to say it’s not for everyone.
Yeah Class room based and face to face interaction vital.. Even my friends 4 of them searching like this.. I've suggested them udemy courses but they're interested in Class room and f2f training sessions...
I was, I am, I won't be ever in favour of these certifications from some random institutions. Unless you do it for Microsoft, AWS, GCP. Free courses on RU-vid are enough. Same with Udemy, there's always a sale. IDK why people are fooling them with taking such a huge amount. Thanks for publishing this, GK. Much appreciated.
What you shared is very valid. The course is quite expensive, when all the course content is available online. As an alumni of this course, I think I got my money's worth sheerly out of the confidence I feel on cloud technology. The course is well structured The tests and assignments keep us accountable to learning The mentor sessions help you understand some real life examples So we shouldn't brush aside the good side. P.S: If you are self-motivated learner then this course is definitely not for you. For the rest of us who need deadlines and a constant motivation, we need something like this course.
You are absolutely right. They take your money they don't identify what prerequisites are necessary they don't train you on that properly they don't have adequate lab sessions and they don't listen to your needs. It's also a waste of time. You will be better off watching you tube or udemy. And better off setting up your own lab at home ask the you tube like could advocate questions like what do I need to know before I watch this video and what labs I need to do to solidify and re informed my knowledg. These two question are the most important and the cloud advocate should answer this in his videos otherwise the contents will be much overwhelming. This is my opinion others may have a different opinion and I respect that.
Thanks for sharing your valuable suggestion on this topic as many people are confused whether to go ahead with such PG cloud computing courses that market themselves as adding huge amount of value to your resume / career.
Exactly my friend did that, he went to UK to do masters in cloud computing. He spent around 30L for 1 year masters. He got job in UK, now married to white chick and settled in UK.
Please guide if there is any masters in Devops & cloud computing.. Like there is in data analytics, data science or machine learning there.. I mean doing this 2 years masters give work visa for 3 years in USA/ Canada.. Please let me know if any masters there in cloud.
I myself am enrolled into a PGPCC from Great Learning and TBH, I thoroughly enjoyed the journey. PGPCC gives you structured content and I agree with you @CloudAdvocate. It's slightly costly but for experienced professionals who're doing well. Definitely can invest. Benefits include - Networking with like minded people, - Live mentor sessions are really great where we get to learn about what's going on in the industry, - A structured way of approaching any cloud(Be it AWS, Azure or GCP). So, if you ask me, definitely was worth every penny I spent 🙂 The only con is that it's not something that everyone can afford. Just putting my point out there
My company has offered me a Postgraduate Program in Cloud Computing. They are investing 140,000/- in me, with the condition that I commit to stay for 2 years from the date of the invoice payment.
I take offense at the language used. Wasting money by doing PG is equivalent to saying you wasted money studying for your UG or graduate course too cos chiller firms like Udemy provide those too. There are tons of reasons for taking up a PG course 1. A classroom environment designed to go at a pace that ensures every topic is covered in a time interval which a self paced mode wont give. 2. Several of these courses are funded by the organization policies you work at. 3. I myself have over 30 courses some paid some free on Udemy and i have completed none. 4. A live tutor is anyday better than searching the internet for a targeted answer. But I will add that any of the courses provided by UpGrad, Intellipat or Edureka and the rest are pretty much useless.
Proper prior knowledge we don't have before that's why we choose these pg courses. as per my knowledge it is not required it is a complete waste of money. instead of these courses if you are interested you can spend it on AWS subscription to practice and to get a certificate from AWS or whichever cloud you interested in.
Hi GK...I think it's not worth as I did Masters in Cloud from Simplilearn...did 5 Cloud Certificatins as well like AWS Cloud Practitioner , Microsoft AZ 104, AZ 305, GAQM Cloud Tester & nothing has happened in terms of getting a Cloud job
Hi bro. I got selected in a company called Measured Inc for devops role I aws.. But they suddenly stopped hiring and said like they will recruit me by january Or february.... Why that happens.... At October of 2022....suddenly....even they have discussed salary..

Bro.. I got seat in cse with artificial intelligence (btech) in IIIT kanchipuram. Should i go for it or go for cse only? If i do cse with AI any problems will be there for MS in abroad?
I have a diploma in mechanical engineering, and if i cracked the cloud associate level exam, will I be able to do job or I will be ignored because I don't have any degree, means should I be doing cloud now or look forward for further education in mechanical and then switch to cloud.
@@CloudAdvocate Then u suggest us udemy courses for Cloud computing (incl aws, azure, gcp), AI, ML, Devops, Security, RHCA, Sw-Dev and Testing... Don't say your friends (ranga, sathisvj, cloud with Raj) courses only Mr.Gk. We want more than that where learnt from each and everything mentioned above.
Please guide if there is any masters in Devops & cloud computing.. Like there is in data analytics, data science or machine learning there.. I mean doing this 2 years masters give work visa for 3 years in USA/ Canada.. Please let me know if any masters there in cloud
0:28, 3:04 Sounds like you got an audience back there. My speakers!😅 4:08 But you still haven't said what a PG is.🤷🏽♂ This field throw out too many acronyms.🤦🏽♂
