Thanks for the tips. I was pushing the ball and tried to adjust my hand motion to correct it; then I realized I could rotate the controller slightly and that fixed my push.

Such a quality vid and advice here especially to those new to the series (like me!) So important to those having issues with swinging to make sure you’re squared up to the TV, controller level and facing the TV. Really helped me cleaning up my swing plane. Timing I’m still on or off. Feels like I have days or even hours where I’m just on fire with tempo...other times just WAYYY off. I’ve calibrated a few times and dunno if it’s a placebo but feels like it’s getting more and more refined. Keep in mind this is my first TGC game and it’s taken me to about level 25 to really start feeling somewhat comfortable in how I’m holding my controller and swinging.

Pro difficulty is just hard period. I'm a fast swinger, but I'm starting to condition myself to slow down my forward swing so I can hit the get the perfect impact for the top meter. While I understand trying to adjust using shot shaping, it can complicate things if there are obstructions on either side of you or there is heavy wind. Regardless, there is no magical way or method to get your shots to go where you want them eveytime. You just have to practice to be more consistent. Stick accuracy (staying within the white vertical line with the analog stick) seems a lot more unforgiving as well.

I just try to hit it straight every time on pro. It’s makes for a more complete game. Then u can perfect spin, draws, and fades.

Keyboard and mouse on PC is where it's at, I just crank my dpi to 3200 and swing ultra fast while anticipating the 7-8 yard draw 👌🏿 been shooting -5 on Pro!

Hi midKnight ..HEARTBREAK HEIGHTS wont be Not long now... Just tweaking the greens. and adding tournament crowds. Quite a unique course .. There are Some very unusal holes here,,, Lots of Roof top tees . and designer par 3s .. WARNING This Course may cause VERTIGO lol Playing with NO WIND will be a doddle... So at least have it on medium for a real round ;-) Pins 4 are the Hardest.. Pins 1 for show .. Couldn't agree more with your philosophy. Too bad the developers don't play golf and took a hatchet to the draw as though it were some unfair exploit, completely ruining this game.

I am hoping you can help, i have asked a few people and no one seems to be able to help. When i hit my woods and irons the target keeps moving to the right on it's own. I am talking about the circle that tells you where the ball is going to land. I hope you can help. Thanks

Have not purchased the game yet but my question is do you have to do your swing with the analog stick or can you use the A button to swing with like in earlier Tiger woods games? I was always better with the A button than the stick.

i dunno tho.. to me its all literal downswing speed trumps all but is sensitive thus calibration?

Hi there, I am looking for some help here: I contantly play +12 to +19 rounds and get my handicap increased. How ´s that? Was once down to 32 plus and every round leaves me with a lesser handicap. Steam and HB forums did not show any helpful hints. Thanks for your comment

I am a lefty who started right away using left stick. I kept pushing it right constantly. I switched to right stick and just use my left thumb on right stick. Sounds weird, but after watching this I understand why now. Doing it how I am now makes sure I am holding my controller flat now since it's held with one hand. Before I think I was tilting it so I pushed up to the right. So for others...don't be afraid to experiment. Figure out how to consistently go straight up and down first, then timing afterwards.

Seriously though, you get your swing good inside the range and as soon as you start an event it all goes to shit.

Does is this apply to PS5 controllers? Because they are adaptive controllers that adjust to the players trigger pressure and so on. I haven’t had any problems and I play on Very Hard, and seem to be winning on every event.

2K didn’t “put” anything into the game, they published a well experienced indie developer game. Normally I would never support 2k, but I love this developers work and there aren’t any dirty in game transactions. Please credit the developer and not 2k haha. Good video btw :)

So this has been of great help and will put it to the test later. However, I can't stop the blue line turning into a u shape. No matter what I do, even on beginner it does a very weird swing thing and all I do is move the analogue stick back and forth. I can't be competitive on any level. I've tried calibration loads of times but doesn't seem to make much difference. Wish they just made it so the club follows the analogue stick to match speed and how you swing. I'll try calibrating every time I log in and rest the controller flat. Thanks.

I appreciate the seriousness of this advice, but the first 3 mins made me feel like I was being told on how to prevent spreading COVID...

I can't seem to get the calibration to work. Whatever I do, I still get mostly "slow" unless I really flick it forward as fast as I absolutely can (causing a loud "smack!" from the controller), and then I can get "perfect". I have never seen "fast". And I've run calibration many times. My only solution is to run on a lower difficulty to widen the "perfect" area. I don't get it.

Does the calibration work for online play?

I hit so good on the practice but when I go-to the game im all over the place even after I caliberate my swing.... WHY!!!!???

I've played routinely worse since calibrating. Worst thing I ever did. Then you CANNOT go back. Once you calibrate, if you don't like it, too bad. Do NOT calibrate.

Why would you calibrate your swing every time. Its’s like if you would switch sensetivity every time loading into CSGO. It’s all about muscle memory.

none of this works for me...watching this one last time before I uninstall this game...ive played for like 2 weeks hardcore....on master...still cant pass q school...

The calibration tool is trash and doesn't do anything imo. I've been a gamer for around 30 yrs now and I gotta say, after giving it a chance multiple times I'm finally at the point where I won't even waste my time anymore with that thing. The game has just had an issue with being extremely sensitive when it comes to your follow thru and they've done nothing to fix that. I get the concept but it's sensitive far beyond the amount it should be. I shouldn't have to struggle to consistently hit perfect shots when my muscle memory has been where it should be a long time ago & any other game would acknowledge that. It's 2k so that in and of itself isn't starting out very high from a quality perspective.

It's confusing when you say "Fast Swing, Slow Swing" it's not the speed of the swing it's the speed of transition. Fast transition will create pulls and or pull hooks, slow transition will create pushes or push fades.
