They changed the middle divider into a removeable one because people complained. There's always a complaint 😅 Besides, with the old one, if you don't need it you can't remove it and it's a little bulky so it takes space. With the strap pocket, that's a specific problem you had. It wasn't very useful for me. Harder to open, access, and put bigger stuff too. Now I can use it more, maybe with filters or lens covers. Besides, they have a new camera strap clip for arcaswiss that might replace the PD one. It might be easier to use. And the strap pockets possibly made the backpack more comfortable. I'm not sure when the last time I used those pockets. For me, only the removed RFID pocket was a downgrade. I think there's pros and cons to the changes. But I kinda like the design of the older shoulder bag. Cause usually I have other stuff I can put on top compartment, maybe a second camera. It was great when you just want to bring that bag, you can fit an a7c with 35mm there, plus a gropro AND your phone. That was crazy. But it's not a big deal. Sad to see it go but I can adapt and find other ways. But I appreciate this video. All good information, thanks!
This is the most honest and relatable review I have seen so far for the backpack, it really deserves way more views. Thank you for the review, it is very helpful.
Hi Juljan, An after-market buckle for the strap could partially solve your chest strap issue. Find the buckle you like (there are many options on the net) with the correct width, and please measure it three times before cutting the original PGY strap in the right place. However, that will not solve the ability to move it easily up and down. I had the peak design backpack strap mount, and I hated it. Every step was a click because there was play in the mechanics. I replaced it with the PGY version and have been happy ever since. The PGY version is cheaper and PGY offers a wider range of attachments, such as those for any tripod (so you wouldn't have to buy the limited variety and very expensive PD tripods). The PGY downside is that you cannot adjust as precisely the hold on the strap, and I wish it would not slide slowly down while attached to OneMo 2. The lack of answer from the PGY warranty department is a bummer.
My zipper messed up on the same spot and I was really bummed out about it. But I still use the bag, just sucks I cant access the top side panel properly
@@juljanskurani so its pretty much stuck closed at the moment, but the prior "fix" for me was that at the very top part of the track I used to pliers and cut the track. It was the only way I was able to put the zipper back on track , because it dangled loose from one side. It had came off due to the bottom right of the pocket doing the same thing as the video. So it was working, but I forgot to tie a little know at the very top where I had cut, so I zipped it a tad beyond that point. And well as of now its kinda stuck closed lol Hope that all made sense
Is it possible to place a mavic air2s vertically in it? also, do you have the internal depth measurement of the main compartment? online there are only external measurements...
@@juljanskurani PGYTech as a lifetime warranty. I wrote them and never got a response. I really like the bag but probably will look for something else now that I know the zippers are prone to breaking
@@jasonjones5479 damn I wrote them too because I read about the lifetime warranty as well, 2 months ago and they never got back to me neither. I thought I was some isolated case for whatever reason so I didn't want to spread negativity on the company and make a big deal out of it, because I actually like the bags a lot, but knowing it wasn't only me sound really bad.
Oficially you can‘t because OneMo 2 has different kinds of hooks to mount the waist straps, however the Original one mo also has hooks on the same spot where you can mount the waist straps from the onemo 2. The hooks are different though so it doesn‘t work that well, but perhaps it‘s better than nothing.
Thanks for your answer ! I own a Onemo for one year and for long trails in mountain the only thing missing is waist strap ! All other features of this backpack are just perfect 👍 I'm ordering a waist strap now !
@@vincentrichard2703 Hello Vincent, Just checking in after four months regarding your comment about the waist straps. How are they holding up? Are they of good quality? Do they attach securely, or do they move around while hiking? I miss this feature too. Let me know if it’s worth it. Thanks a lot, and have a great day! 🥾🎥🌎
