I had a chance to be in this movie but didn't like flying from Illinois too LA. My biggest mistake in my life. Sorry Don C . you gave me the chance of my lifetime .PS , Love all of your Phantasm movies . Thanks Don .
@@gu2574 Don told me that I would play Mike . Don said that they was wanting someone that had a southern accent because the movie took place in a southern Illinois town. Don told me that I'd get the part , all I would have to do is go to the studio and I'd be in the movie .But, as I said I don't like to fly . I have never flown since that summer vacation too Orange County back in the 70's The Jet that I was on had fuselage flapping on the left wing where I was setting .I told the stuartist to look out my window at it flopping .All she said is that it was an old Jet. My Grandma was sitting next to me and when the stuartist said that , she stiffened up like it scared her. The Jet was out of St. Louis Lambert Air port.We landed in La International air port .
I'm surprised no de-aging CGI was used on The Tall Man in later films. The price of that tech probably would have shut down production altogether. I'm glad he was kept as is.
This franchise is low budget. Besides, this whole de-aging in movies was still not a common thing when the last Phantasm movie came out. But I get what you're saying since Mike and Reggie needed de-aging as well in that same last movie when they were recounting the fourth film
Funnily enough, I've actually written a big horror crossover fanfic where The Tall Man is the main villain. The basic jist of the story is that TM tries getting his hands on the necronomicon, so not only can he create "better" dwarves (by infusing them with deadite D.N.A) but also invade/take over other universes with the help of some other horror villains acting as his proxies; leaving Ash, Reggie, and many other good guys to prevent him from achieving his goals.
@@alabamafreak Ash and Reggie would be such a badass duo. Did you know Bruce and Reggie were supposed to do a Phantasm movie together? So unfortunate it never happened.
to conquer death, when he was Jebediah Morningside he said as much, going through the gate he spent who knows how many eons traveling and learning and becoming.. The Tall Man, and he came back, 14 seconds after he left, now completely evil, with the same goal, conquering death, and all of reality with it.
@@wolf44875 Yeah I'm sure read that this wasn't intended to become a franchise. But as you know, the egos of the studios demand directors to create franchises. I'm glad it did though. I like it.
