@@sceu25 My band director always described it as the emotion you're trying to portray in a piece of music. When you're pushing in music you're a little bit ahead of the beat and it creates this agency or excitement in the music. When you're pulling, you're a little bit late and I create a calming feeling within the music. Push and Pull together create this back-and-forth that you here in a lot of in classical music where you hear this consent change in the music but you can't pinpoint exactly where that change is occurring.
I went to the camp this year. I'm not exactly sure how it works. I know that the staff chooses who they think will suit the role the most to conduct the hornline once.
