****ABOUT ME****
I am Dr. Sidra Naveed, a registered pharmacist in California and pharmacy manager at one of the biggest retail pharmacy of USA. I am a pharmacist by profession but as a social media influencer my passion is coaching.
As a pharmacy tech instructor, I have started the Pharmacy Technician Study Guide Series to help students studying to becoming a pharmacy tech as a side hustle or a life time career.

Does anyone recommend how to study for the pharmacy test? I work at a Walgreens but I get nervous going back in to the Pharm. and getting experience. I feel that I would ask too many questions and the ladies that work back there feel very judgmental.

The best way to learn and retain pharmacy knowledge is by working and getting experience. Don't worry about asking too many questions and being judged. Because the ones judging also started from zero at some point. Good luck!

I used to work full time when I was studying for my pharmacist license exam. I normally would take a couple of days off to study full time before exam. The pharmacy job is sometimes stressful but if you're going to work in pharmacy you have to train yourself in a way that day to day tasks, like filling, typing, customer service does not get you or affect your mood in a bad way. Just remember, you cant please every one and you cant do it all by yourself...

You can self study as well, you dont have to necessarily take classes. I know of CCI (Condensed Curriculum International) they offer a 2 month course. But I highly recommend working/ volunteering in a pharmacy. That helps a lot in retaining medication information and knowing the pharmacy workflow.

I’ve been a tech for a while and I wound not encourage young people to get in this field. Techs are underpaid, not respected and over worked. We make 1/3 a pharmacist salary not worth it.

This is what I was worried about. When she said like 13-15 dollars to start out with I was like in what world would that be a livable wage. My minimum wage just went up and it right around there. I’d think Id make more than minimum wage if I had 6-12 months of training. Otherwise I could just do basic work and get paid the same. I’ve heard you get paid around $20 when you get your license here. I wanna be able to actually save money up every month not just month to month. What if I get sick or one of my loved ones gets sick? I’d just be f*cked.

@@akirawhite635 there is paid time off, some benefits, and it can go beyond $22 even up to around $25 an hour actually in some cases and often you can get a starting hourly pay of about $16-18 once you get your license. A trainee will only make about $10-15 an hour. It’s just like all other jobs. Prove you can work efficiently, consistently, and are trust worthy and promotions are inevitable usually.
