I’d wager to say Mudvayne was the best premier nu metal of all time. Yes above Korn, Slipknot, Disturbed etc. them the facts 🤷‍♂️

Ryan Martinie is a great and underrated bassist, I put him in my fantasy Nu Metal supergroup along with Wes Borland and Joey Jordison

I'm so glad you kept an open mind through this song. It's an emotional song for me, it's also my favorite because it resonates very deeply. Life is fucking hard, and not everyone is equipped to handle it the same way, so trying to escape can become a very real process.

Out of all of them, the drummer from personal experience was the only d*** head in the whole group, the other 3 were super open to take a pic, and give signatures.

When someone tells me they wanna hear some bass heavy rock I suggest Mudvayne’s first two records. Ryan Martinie is one of the most unique bassists in the game. He has a signature sound that when you hear you know it’s him. “Severed” should be your next song from them.

Absolutely love this track. From this album id also recommend Under My Skin. For Bass riffs I'd suggest Silenced. Also let me refer the song Ghostflowers by Otep for some stellar Bass work.

I've always thought LD-50 had a little bit of Tool and Slipknot vibes musically and lyrically (and captures the same level of anger found in early Slipknot). Obviously, Mudvayne stands on its own, as does this work.

The LD 50 live dvd from Peoria, Illinois is the best version of the song… I wish more reviewers did reactions to live music because that’s where the actual talent lies, not in the studio.

I listened to the song before recommending it here and I definitely knew the first part would be the hardest to jive with, glad you stuck through it and appreciate it as a whole! Some of the best songs don’t reveal themselves until you sit back after “Consuming” the whole thing.
