@@studyinitaly I have a query- If I directly email the Professor and he/she selects me then I don't have to apply through the University Portal right? Also no application fees is required in the above case. Are there any Universities in Italy which don't require phd application fees or accept applications through email?

@@studyinitaly You mean I have to contact the Professor first and once I get his recommendation letter I can apply through the University Portal to increase my chances of admission. If he finds my profile interesting and replies to my email then it becomes easier to get admission right? Also I have heard that in Germany we can directly get recruited by the Professor through email without applying through University Portal. But according to you it's not possible in Italy.

Please answer this question of mine- What is the "Diploma Supplement" which Italian Universities ask during application? Is it some kind of degree verification/evaluation? It's of course different from DOV because DOV is issued after admission is offered. Also I found that it's issued from the degree granting institution.

You need to earn at least €1500 or Rs. 1.25 lac per month for a decent life in Italy. 80k won't be sufficient. Also poor job opportunities even for highly qualified graduates, PhD would be a burden without value. The companies prefer Italians or Europeans, others have to work 2-3X harder for same opportunity. I would suggest going to an English speaking country with solid economy and lesser discrimination.

Italy gives least fellowship across all EU nations, France Germany Ch and Austria gives minimum 1800-2000k, 1200 E is too less for a PhD fellowship. Instead of Italy try some other places

Proof of a suitable accommodation in Italy (Campus accommodation, rental agreement or a confirmed hotel booking of at least 30 days). In case of accommodation in a private house, the owner must provide a declaration of hospitality (dichiarazione di ospitalità) signed in front of a notary public. Thanks for this video Megh.. Couple of queries: a. The stipend amount that you mentioned, in the range of 800-1200 euros, is this inclusive or exclusive of accommodation? Did not get this clearly. b. Do universities provide support for students who have a family? I would need to have my wife & school--going daughter with me, do you reckon (pls be candid) if this stipend amount would be adequate to support family? Best wishes,

No no separate help for family infact you have to show that you have sufficient funds for your family to keep with you. If you take whole rented apartment it will cost min 600 euro in small city. If you live in shared apartment you may find a room starting from 400 euro but then three personal living in one small room won’t be feasible . So more or less if we see it will be difficult to be with family along with kid in 800euro

@@Vegkitchenvlog First of all, You have to search for your subject in which you want to do ph.d and this is possible by phdportal website. Another thing is that finding a good professor for your research is not easy enough. If you have any topic in your mind, you have to convence professor for that and you also have to send motivational letter and SoP for that. Italy is providing best stipend or scholarship for phd and it is difficult although. In italy, ph.d is like a job.
