Phenom 100 jet pilot Mentoring. Part 2. Upset recovery.
It is a common perceptions that you need thousands of hours of flight experience to fly a jet. However, there are faster ways to become a better pilot. Learning is defined as change of behavior as as result of experience. Skill is a result of training, of being in different situations. If you accumulate hours by flying in familiar environment, being in your comfort zone, your skill level will progress very slowly. If you go out of your comfort zone using the benefit of having an experienced instructor next you your skill level will progress much faster.
I want to tell a story of Gheorghi Turcanu, who made the American dream come true. A young self-made entrepreneur who came to the US when he was 19, build his own business and bought a jet. Now he’s embarking on a challenge of becoming a safe and skilled jet pilot. Gheorghi already has Embraer Phenom 100 single pilot type rating EMB-500, now he wants to learn to fly to busy class Bravo airports, mountainous airports and much more. In this episode we will do Upset Recovery Training in an Aerobatic airplane, showing its importance for everyday safety. We will visit Love Field and other interesting airports around Texas, then continue West to Las Vegas. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. You will experience the process, the adventure, failures and rises. Please enjoy.

What I like flying with Max as CFI is that he gives you chance to make mistake and learn from it. And he is calm)) all under control 100% of time. Enjoy George, I had more than 10 CFI in climb towards jet flying and this guy is the best of all. Have fun!

Thank you. Kirill is another example of a person who learned to fly a jet at relatively low time, now has 2 single pilot PIC ratings and flys all over the world. Everything is possible if you have motivation, put time and effort to it!

Thank you. I strive to teach in way that will make safer real life pilots, not just “teach to pass check ride” style adopted in many schools unfortunately.

Very interesting and informative video. Upside down plane training is amazing. It makes my hands wet 😅. I’m wonder if commercial pilots have it. 🧐
@MaxJetRev
@MaxJetRev Год назад
Unfortunately commercial pilots are not required to do it and very small percentage do it on their own. I think if this training at a very low cost (relatively other flight training) would be required it would save a lot of lives.

Nice mentoring sessions. Max, what are the main differences from your point of view betweeen the Elite S and the Phenom 100, from your point of view? I mean both are great planes, I am wondering what would be your personal recommendation.
@MaxJetRev

I prefer Honda Jet. It has nicer handling characteristics, more range and is faster than Phenom.

@MaxJetRev
@MaxJetRev Год назад
7 узлов - очень слабый ветер, он не имел в данном случаи значения. На 26 - вообще попутный ветер получается, что гораздо хуже.
@19ij
@19ij Год назад
