im really glad Phil overcame his addiction and is now speaking out against heroin use... this should be viewed by everyone especially young people who are unaware how dangerous drugs really are

I was ecstatic when I finally seen this. I've struggled with heroin and pill addiction for a while and he's absolutely right about they way he describes it and everything. I've met Phil twice, he's a cool ass dude. Especially now that he's off all the hard shit.

Every single time I read that "heroin schedule", I think Phil should tell more people this story. It's enough to scare the shit out of me and I didn't even have the desire to do heroin in the first place.

Phil Anselmo has such an interesting story, amazing that he is alive today, his autobiography would be a great read! I agree with him in regards to not fearing today's youth, but actually pitying them. Heroin doesn't necessarily come in bags, opiate based pills are more potent, pure and manufactured in huge numbers because of over prescribing doctors making millions in "Pain Clinics" They can laugh about it. However the majority of these young people have NO IDEA what Phil is describing.

Fuck no...so glad I never did any drugs. Kinda sad he had to went thru this...but made him stronger! Then he speaks about the lyrics and music...the positive stuff from the past and the dope-songs...I get really excited to hear what DOWN IV will include.

Wow. That was intense. I think its great he is talking about his addiction. Some might tempted to try heroin because "phil anselmo did it and came out ok" His story about his daily routine as an addict was chilling.....especially his references to the time on the clock. You would have to be a complete nut job to want to try that white stuff Appreciate you posting this Blackie. Props to Phil. You made yourself vulnerable to get the word out on addiction. That took guts

8:29..........i dont think Phil would be embarrased by his 2001 song, "Southern Man I Am". Opal sings in it too! Phil has alot to be proud of! >>the Southern Isolation Acoustic Project! its priceless!

@Tmetal same here. i had to get on methadone and ive been on for almost 1 year. a couple weeks ago i started coming down, lowering my dose by 2 mg every week. it should take nearly 1 more year to get off completely. its saved my life because i used to drink myself to death and use other drugs. now i havent touched anything since i got on the drink.

@donSparda From biographies, there`s a small step toward movies, tv shows and commercials. That`s what i don`t want to see happening to my favorite musicians. Eh, ok. I just had this idea that got stuck in my head about celebrities that want to make an extra buck. If you`re a fan of someone, you`ll enjoy their biography for sure, no matter what.

Heroin, Mahound's day: AM: Too early to cop, rinse residue from last night's hit. 10am rolls around, call dealer repeatedly until he answers. Go to meet him. spend $40, go home, shoot up. Putter about. Watch stuff on neighbour's Wifi. PM: wake up, Sick! Call dealer every five minutes. he answers, asks why i don't just buy more in the AM. (even if i did, it'd be gone by now). He'll be fifteen. Freak out. try to write, write bullshit. He arrives. INDESCRIBABLE JOY. shoot up, sleep.. [repeat]
