When Phil Collins was huge and Genesis made it to number 1 and Peter Gabriel had the 1 number album So and Steve Hackett was riding high with GTR it seems like it was only yesterday I remember all these guys like it was just the other day....good memories
Kind of hard to hear younger Phil talk about Clapton's drinking in the later-70's. I'm sure Phil never imagined then all of his life troubles, injuries and depression would lead to him having his own bouts with alcohol and pills almost into his 70s'. Last Domino? Tour really showed how frail he's getting. By the time Phil worked with Eric on "Journeyman", Clapton was pushing 45 and now both he and Jimmy Page are now nearing 80. It would be very strange and sad to think Phil may not outlive either of them, considering how much of a cleaner life he led compared to either of those two into his later-50's but, life can be unpredictable like that.
I would LOVE to be a fly on the wall with Phil and Eric alone conversing. They are long time friends. (Hammersmith was such a site for great Genesis concerts!)
I love Phil Collins forever and his old old music this was in 86' my mom was in 9th grade at Langston Junior High School 86 87 88 89 four years when attended Bladensburg Evening High School all as a teen in the 12th grade I was born in 91 after she graduated from there memories so six years later before I was born.
My favourite singers are Freddie Mercury and Andrzej Zaucha Andrzej Zaucha had black/gypsy magical vocal/voice.He was shot in 1991.Phil is very good singer
More acting! The movie 'Buster' comes out in two years (1988) and then he is surprised with 'This Is Your Life' (charming show). I did not know Traffic was one of Phil's favorite bands. Nice!
