Phil Collins was on Larry King the next week. I called and was able to ask Mr Collins about his explanation to Arsenio of building bridges with his music, and how Hall was showing a deaf ear. Phil answered that Arsenio understood his explanation, but was obviously showing his not being "seen as buying it". Arsenio was a bit of race baiter. His show was off the air a few weeks later, but usually he could be entertaining. That vid is available on RU-vid...Phil Collins on Larry King Live Dec 13, 1993 and you hear me call in.
@@FilbinCreekPhil Well Arsenio was alway in the "race business" of remarks...... kinda shot himself in the foot, as no one needs that shoved down their throat with every show.
The audience was dead that night I know he was under that "racist remarks" accusations but... C'mon, the man always has a clear point of view in what happens in the world, so, this doesn't have any sense
I feel like his remark is so relevant today … try “building a bridge, rather than digging a ditch”. He was a head of his time by saying that and also what he said about censorship in music.
Phill is a legend but If you actually watch the billboard awards which is literally posted on here he clearly had something against the black artist and presenters with a lot of them not having enough time to except there awards
