Loved hearing about him talk about the academy, overall I'm very excited. Welcome Phil! A longer form interview would be much appreciated, this environment felt more comfortable than the presser he did. I'm excited to see who we pick up for our missing dp slots too

A few more wins in early season would be welcomed. His contacts must be pretty good, no? Glad to see this positive story finally. Give him a chance. The changes in clubs & personnel in MLS has and is changing by the season. Need someone with management with a forward approach.

He has my support, I am not going to hold a couple of tweets made 10+ years ago against him now. Hopefully, he can bring an exciting, high-tiempo brand of soccer that gets the fans excited and united. It has been tough to watch over the last couple of years, not just because of the results but also our dull and pragmatic approach. Hopefully, he can help get the atmosphere back to what it used to be.

Could ownership be more clueless? After several terrible actions that ignored women being abused by staff, you chose a guy known for misogyny and failure. The guy has a losing career of doing nothing to improve teams, so they can’t even say he’s a good manager.

Just because someone posts some tweets doesn't mean he's a woman beater...give me clear examples of him beating women? Tongue and cheek humor are just words, Words don't hurt, actions do. Your just throwing a tantrum like a kid in preschool get over yourselves, this isn't a top tier club in Europe, you get what comes along in a 5th tier league, just be happy he decided to join your club... Portland is very lucky the timbers even achieved the success it has in a parody driven league
