You look at football in the USA twenty years ago and you wouldn't see anything close to this, they've come a long way since they hosted the World Cup in 94.

@@HurricanezzYT no...in canada it wont make a diff...they;re only hosting like 2-3 games (stadiums) and NONE past the group stage...same for mexico only even less, i think ONLY mexico city will host one game, one city-stadium only, and thats also in group stage..while in the usa it will be huge, 1st off it will be the 1st world cup ever to not hold the usual 32 countries (8 groups), WHILE the world cup in USA will be the 1st to host 48 countries aka 12 groups which in itself will be HUUUUUUGE for not just usa but "soccer" across the world since it will give so many small, island, shit countries, all 3 groups of those will get a much much bigger chance to qualify and play....when world cup 1st started, i think in uruguay was the 1st one, in 1934 if im not mistaken, or 1932, only 8 countries made it, if not 6... idont even think u had to qualify, just whos ever country felt like paying for 25 guys AT MOST (thats including the 11 players, subs, coaches, docts, chairmen, lmao), with european countries traveling by boats from portugal, spain, france, enland, germany, italy etc...u get the point, but prob majority traveled to portugal 1st since it was much faster travel by land (train) then sea (boat) and then from boat to s. america aka brazil....only 6 ot 8 said f it we'll go for it, w like 2-3 ONLY from europe, i think usa actually came and defeated ENGLAND and kicked them out which was surprise of all surprises...speaking of usa now, its def growing into a football powerhouse. unfortunetly, it's still "soccer", mostly a soccer mom - kids up to 12-13 sport, who just play to play something, since its so cheap, almost NO equipment is needed but a fkn soccer ball u can buy for 3$ at ur local grocery store, and MAYBE, cleats and shin guard which are also super cheap...i watched the kids play on few occassions in local parks (for bout 30 seconds n seen enough) and every kid is literally chasing after the ball, nobody knows even the point of positions of each player, spreading the field etc...while kids in Europe, S america too i'm sure, start off playing games that look damnear just like the pros, without the quality strong kicks offcourse due to their size/strength..but everything else is there, they all play TEAM game, not chase the ball till it literally gets chased in the oponents goal, every kid is just going for the kick kicking the shit out the ball i dont even think they care bout what direction they kick it in lmao....and then after that, after they turn 12-13, they start playing their traditional american sports, they still have a HUGE stupid thinking of sport is not a sport unless its played w ur hands...they JUST DONT GET IT...but i agree the 2026 world ccup will make it that much bigger in usa, prb twice as it is now, which is a beautiful thing to see compared to how much usa used to be made fun of when it came to football in genera, when in reality they just dont give a flying f about it lol...the national team is quite a wild card, i think in brazil in 2014 they made it to top 8, last one in russia top 16 coming very close to top 8 but belgium BARELY beat them etc..but canada, no, it'll make little to no difference, while in "mehico" its already the number 1 thing in world period lol so it won't get any bigger its already been as big as it can get just like the rest of fellow latin - s american countries and europe...its also grown HUNG in asia and midddle east, w middle eastern peace of shit rch oil sheiks buying clubs all over exp the super rich ones buying clubs all over england, which the britis hate, but thats another story..i rmmbr i think cardiff it was, a malysian billionare bought it, the dude that brought mcdonalds to malasya and got so rich off it, he changed cardiffs traditional 100yr colors from blue to red, made their logo just as old look like a asian dragon typa shit, brits wasn't havign none of that, boycoted the club from get-go, which im sure every fanbase in europe would do if that was done to their club...shit in croatia, their #1 clubs name got switched from dinamo to croatia, during the 90s when fascism and patriotism was running thru croatia seeing how it just came out of the smaller of the balkan wars in the 90s, compared to the one in Bosnia, and got their independence fairly easy, their fascist president at time changed dinamo to croatia, and same thing happened boycotts ALL OVER, tilll it was renamed back to dinamo zagreb...i can go on for years, but point being no it will not become anything bigger in canada, while in mexico its already as big as it can get, #1 sport by far ppl die for lol

God why do european football fans have to always comment so ignorantly on copa MLS videos? I'm from England, support Leicester City (where I was born) and I think its great to see how much football is expanding in the US but there's always these fans over here in Europe that have to bad mouth what they see or find something negative to say. If you love the game of football then support what's happening with the game wherever it may be in the world.

Riley Olson This comment is so true. Here in Australia we are probably a step behind the MLS. It is relieving though to see a league similar to our own thriving and it can only bring us hope that the A-League can do the same in the not so distant future. All I can say is props to the MLS and the supporters which have become a very respectable league in my opinion at least.

@chestubbs7150 9 лет назад
Chad Cooper Thanks bro, a couple years ago we were actually a step ahead of the MLS but the A League just doesn't getting the funding it needs to grow and become successful. That's where the MLS has over taken us, as well as the population sizes of the two nations. A minor sport in America can get the same amount of views and coverage as a major sport in Australia.

I love this, it's the kind of passion you see from fans at Dortmund, Red Star, and teams with massive love for their teams in Europe, so fans of like man city and sorts calling this plastic and without history, just shut up, this is real passion, and this is coming from a European football fan. To see how much U.S. soccer has come, considering when the states won the gold cup in 2007, (I read this in a biography Tim Howard wrote) nobody knew who they were when they went out showing off the trophy. And a couple of days ago I watched u.s. play Jamaica in a sold out Georgia dome, and the Georgia dome is massive, but filled with American fans! It's some great stuff.

Copa90 Must come to Western Sydney Wanderers vs Sydney FC next season. Although only a few years old there is plenty of factors which play a part in this derby. Sydney FC being established first and trying to be the team for all of Sydney, but were always pro-East Sydney and not too keen on West Sydney, the rich football culture in Sydney`s West, the Rovers FC idea and downfall, the Wanderers then coming in and being so successful, the 'higher class' Eastern Suburbs vs the working class Western Suburbs e.t.c

What the hell is wrong with the English fans commenting on this video? Why are you trying to keep them down? I say they've come a long way. No need for envy, no need to put them down. Yes, a team in League 1 or the Championship might have better support. But think about something else: those teams also have 70 years or more of a head start, which gave them plenty of time to bind strong roots in their communities. Of course you're going to be a die-hard Leeds fan if your grandfather and father pass it to you, the club is almost 100 years old! Don't compare that to these guys. Teams formed in the 70's, living in the shadow of the other professional leagues(NFL, MLB, NBA)...I say they've come a long way and congratulate them for it. Football is not a part of American culture, they started with a handicap. And from what I see they would fare well against most of Europe. Maybe it seems artificial to some of us because they have a more friendly atmosphere; we in Europe love a good fight :) Also there's much more hate in Europe; they have gay pride flags, we have swastika's, celtic crosses or antifa signs in our terraces. They don't seem that big on hate; good for them I suppose, that way they'll help football become more popular.

I really wish people would just get rid of that stigma of just disrespecting other fanbases tbh. I follow different leagues around the world; the j league, super lig, or bundesliga. As a Peruvian I always had fun watching my nation's league and here in the US I can do the same for Orlando City in its first year and there's more to the chants or flares; we actually volunteer helping our state and communities in Florida and this was even before OCSC made it to MLS. I wish we could respect each other's league because we all have something we like from each part of the World.

Too Canadian. Get rowdy. Go mental. Unleash your fury on us in Seattle. It's just as important as anything that happens on the pitch.

I was surprised when I came to Sanjose Earthquakes’s home game. It was close to a big township festival than a soccer game.
