Phil Kaye performs "Camaro" 

I have a huge poetry-crush on Phil Kaye.

I can't help but hear Sarah Kay when I listen to this. I feel like they speak and perform their poems very similarly - both great great writers and performers!

I think all of us here love how carefully you chose your words

He's making me miss the ex I never had. This piece is heart-wrenching.

There he goes again, gently plucking at my heart strings.

God, I missed this man's poetry.

every time he pauses, I pause my breathing.

why aren't his performances video taped more often? it's been such a long time since we've heard/seen him and we missed him so much. you can say it twice for Sarah, too

Phil Kaye back at it again! He slays. I've watched his poems on here since 2011. It's like a sweet unexpected gift whenever a new one comes out. 😊 To see him or Sarah Kay perform live would be a dream 😭

I love this one so much. I have been listening to it on repeat since 2 days straight. It breaks my heart when he smiles with such hope in his eyes while saying "Do you remember the camaro?" What a beautiful performance...

This is so poignant. I feel like this poem was composed with the intention of whole-body delivery. His face is so alive with emotion. I love it.

I can't believe how much I can relate to this. actual chills up my spine. from driving in California to the silence and breaking up in nyc. in a new relationship now but I remember everything. what a blessing and a curse.
