Yes, he and Danny Miller on Emmerdale, are great actors. They truly have mastered a very old art in the acting industry which dates back to the infancy of movies (the silent movies), and TV...when expression was more important than words. people like Lucile Ball on "I Love Lucy" and Don Knotts on “The Andy Griffin Show” were masters of telling us about the character and what they would do or be thinking, through expression. That aside, MAX IS SO VERY CUTE. it is amazing how such a nasty character can be so cute and loveable.
@@BrOoKlYn-sq2bi yeah, they are and so is Tony Clay (Callum) I have crush on him...tall, handsome, British, talented and his accent with at smile and baby blue eyes makes me melt
@@SuperDVDfanatic This is an important message as there are still homophobic people out there so it needs to be done again. And many other stories have been repeated in shows. Like every time someone is pregnant it must always be a secret.
It did same to me because i remember the day i finally accepted myself properly an i walked with that same smile. It was honestly one of the best parts of this scene for me an it was all great but that little detail really tipped the hat. Great actor.
It’s nice that even though Whitney had her heart broken by him. She still found it in herself to back him up, just shows she really does love him. Sometimes in life when you really love someone you have to set them free and let them be happy even if it’s not with you.
Or when Ben thanked Phil for punching Jonno for defending him. Just to show how much they have grown and gotten closer particularly since Ben was shot by Hunter.
@@michellelohde8729 I bet not. Callum was going to continue living a lie by marrying Whitney and that was with Paul and him during his service, but when Ben arrived he was forcefully pulled by himself and Ben's affair out of the closet cause he now knows the difference between a man's and a woman's touch. IMO
Stahhp Please Yeah he’d probably fully come to terms with it after a white but by then he’d be married and maybe have a kid, and probably wouldn’t ever get the chance to act on it bc he wouldn’t want to hurt his family
@@peterwy874 The problem is, Phil is blinded by love for his son! It's okay standing up for him, when he's right, but what about when he's wrong- threatening Patrick, covering up for Heather, smashing Christian's house in, when Ben lied- many times he's defended his son, when he should have punished him badly, not so much by beating him, but by depriving him of the things he likes, to learn some decency.
She has begun to accept the Callum who now is not afraid to be who he is. There was never any doubt that she loved him, or that he loved her. But love alone, is not what it takes to be in a marriage...there is so much more...and sexual, physical attraction is essencial. They loved each other, but they were not "in Love", lovers, as is needed in a marriage. He loves Ben...in that "LOVER" way. I was married to a woman for years...faithfully. I loved her, but we were never lovers. Then I met a man, the first in my life, and I fell deeply in love with him...in a way I had never known before. I do believe after the shooting of Ben, Whitney now sees how much Callum loves Ben, and how true to himself that is...and I think she is happy for him; because that is what real love is about.
@tom crowner Hey again dude. I'm not sure where yer homophobia stems from but i'm happy to have a conversation about it if you want to? Trust me when I say you don't want to be a bigot for all of your life, you'll miss out meeting some great people. Take care :)
One of the best scenes I've seen in EastEnders, I just can't stop going back to watch it. The way Callum stands up to his bullying father is brilliant.
Yeah exactly it is one of the best. I keep rewatching all of their scenes as well from the beginning IE the 12th of April last year up to now over and over again. They are just so perfect for each other and meant to be happy together forever and always no matter what happens they will always get through anything and everything together forever and always no matter what happens they are total endgame
@Al Masih Ad Dajjal not trying to start anything but I saw alot of your replies on other comments, if you're against lgbtq+, then why are you watching this video? Clearly says in the tittle. Again, not trying to start anything just saying
B C He’s so innocently an unintentionally a Badass, and when he realizes he’s done something so forward and badass, he smiles and is proud of himself. THAT makes Callum even sexier! 😍😈
As they should. I am from the US and I would love to be able to subscribe to watch this soap "live". We do have a couple of PBS channels that air the show, but we are behind at least 3 to 4 years.
As soon as Phil walked in, I knew shit was gonna go down. Especially when he slowly walked towards Ben and Callum discreetly during Callum's speech with his dad.
vinny Durham does that include all soap operas that literally repeat the same storylines for all eternity? Whether it’s affairs, abuse, half brothers, murders. Don’t try and say that the gay storylines are boring people.
Ben Mitchell agreed lol. Fingers crossed they let us be and have Ballum without the digging. I’m from the Washington State so it’s cool that there are channels like yours
This is the 100th time I've watched this clip, and now I just realized that Ben asks Callum if he realizes the sexual tension between their dads! lmfao.
Yessssssss he's finally got his man ❤️❤️❤️😂😂😂 and that punch from Phil made me soooo happy coz I hate Jonno and I'm proud of Callum for standing up to his so called father and coming out to him to!!!!!!! Love #ballum ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Well honestly ur missing out it's amazing!!! And it might be on ur recommended coz u might watch similar stuff to this!!! And btw eastenders is the show this video is from it's a BBC show
Xsara S I don’t normally watch shows that have to do with gay people. Not that I am a homophobe but usually I’m not comfortable watching two men kissing each other. I just wanted to see what this was.
Understandable dw I'm not still comfortable seeing two women kiss each other I'm okay when I see 2 men but with women for some reason idk but dw it's fine to feel that way coz u ain't used to it that's it
I love everything about this!!! Callum being more assertive and calling himself a "BabyGay" (Loved Bens subtle reaction to that) Ben looking actually impressed that Callum stood up for himself Jays' "Oh for crying out loud Ben just go out with him will ya!" Then the lines "No Buts" "Thats a shame" (Ben is flat out hysterical at times with his witty innuendo filled one liners and MAx delivers them perfectly), Callum standing up to his dad Whitney standing up for Callum plus her little "Careful. This prime rumps got a tidy left hook!" Karens pleased little fist pump when Callum comes out. Ben looking at Callum with pride. Ben jumping up to protect Callum when his dad attacks. Jay and Lola jumping up to pull Ben and the Homophobe apart (I will not name that piece of scum) Phil punching the homophobe so hard it looked like Both Ben & Callum were punched too the way he reacted to it. Ben's almost savage look of glee on his face when his dad came to their defence. The support both Stewart and Whitney have of Callum. Ben saying to Callum "You saw it too did ya? The Sexual Tension between our dads?" Honestly, I nearly pee myself sometimes with Ben's lines. Callum kissing his man in front of everyone. Lola's "Awwww...this needs a soundtrack" and Callum's new found confidence with Ben and his pleased smiled as he walked off. The chemistry between Ben and Callum is off the charts. The actors who play them (Max and Tony) are amazing together. Max deserves awards for his acting. He is subtle, able to convey really complex things with his facial expressions and body language. He is so funny at times, with his amazing witty and sarcastic one liners (delivered to perfection). He can also look really bloody terrifying when he needs to, while in others he looks like the young boy we remember, others he looks so in love, others so lost and hurt and confused. He is amazing. And Tony is the perfect balance to him. The two characters are almost polar opposites, but I think that is why they work. They bring out the best in each other. Is it all roses and sunshine? Of course not. Ben has a lot of issues and together they go through some real tough times. But you can practically feel and see the love between them all the time. Please writers. I know you love to tear apart happy couples and destroy love and joy, but please, these two need end game happiness, maybe marriage. Please don't tear these two apart permenantly.
4:18, way late, but so reminded me of Zach driving away from Shauns, in the 2007 movie Shelter, having realised he now knows himself - its 'the smile' everytime
@@Adam657 They will keep this one because he's the best Ben the show has ever had. They only change him because Kate Oates had a different look and direction for the character. Harry Reids Ben would have never worked
@Al Masih Ad Dajjal anyone can get Aids or any STD if you don't have safe sex. It's not just gay people, if you are having sex with multiple people and you arent save then you will get a STI or STD. Don't stereotype
Yesssss finally!!! I hope Ben and Callum get a happy ever after in the end. By all means drag them through hell if you have to but keep them together. They're just too good together. I don't think I'd cope if anything happened to them or they seperated. They're the reason I started watching Eastenders again. Love these two so much. My favourite soap couple.
i have now watched this clip 7 times over a period of 4 hours --- i just keep coming back to it --- and i think it is very safe to say it IS, indeed, my absolute favorite EastEnders bit EVER. so there's that....
I can tell you as a writer/author, this episode is the reason why the writers spend so much time setting it up using all the other episodes. All the back and forth moments when this almost happened, when we thought all was lost and Ben and Callum would never be together. Every episode that allowed us to see the love between them, and then snatch it away, and let us believe Whitney and Callum would begin a disastrous marriage. It was all the writers playing with our emotions, like a child being teased with a piece of candy. They wanted us to want it even more. And they succeeded, didn’t they? The love story of Ben and Callum is timely and classic...sweet kind person, in love with the bad boy. The Ben and Paul storyline showed us that the bad boy, Ben, could truly love, and be loved. Paul’s love exposed the nice guy Ben, though deeply emotionally damaged, had the potential to be a better man. Now I think Callum’s love could help Ben to be that better man. For the loyal fans, it is that climatic moment when the two characters finally and totally connect. It is the "happy moment" all the fans have anticipated. And like you, me and a lot of other Ben/Callum loving fans watch it over and over to experience exactly what we have wanted. hoped, and anticipated...like a Christmas morning filled with ALL the gifts we asked for from Santa. Well, the writers delivered on this episode...so Merry Christmas to us.
Needed some cheering up so watched this clip. Callum standing up and accepting himself, getting his man did just that. Uplifting in these tough times :)
Yeah exactly exactly I completely agree with you. Callum is amazing I'm so proud of him. I'm glad that he and Ben have each other because they are meant to be and amazing together and can and do work through anything and everything together forever and always no matter what happens. They love each other so much and are so endgame
I love them they are so cute and perfect for each other I really hope they get their happy ending at the end of the day because they deserve it. I loved the way that Lola was there to help bring them together as they should be. I then loved her and Jay sitting in the corner looking and listening and looking so in love with each other themselves. I also loved the Callum was protecting Ben from his dad while also trying to keep him calm with his hand on Ben's stomach being like no it's ok and I will handle it. I also really liked the way Whit tried not to say anything that might hurt Callum. I think that it's not unrealistic to see her do that especially not after Ben got shot. Phil punching Jonno was also amazing as it shows that he has finally realized that Ben being happy is the only thing that matters and that he should try harder to get to know Callum than he did with Paul. Finally that kiss was perfect and shows how much they love each other and how perfect they are together.
Hands down my favorite scene fo all time. Oh Callum I'm so proud of you! I was screaming and yelling during most of this scene oh man. What a great scene. Bravo to all the actors. You guys did a great job. The best part other than my boys kissing at the end was Phil punching Junno. Oh bravo, Phil. I just love you!
Phil should have been stabbed or shot for that! Let’s his sexual pervert son corrupt another man’s son then he sucker punches the father for speaking out against their depravity?
Jay being like oh come on. It's been long enough just get together already. It was amazing I loved. That's so what he's face said. Him and Lola looking at Ben and Callum just perfect. Both couples are so endgame.
Same here alot has happened since and majoritively for the better because they have each other and the rest of their real family IE Lexi Lola and Jay etc and as long as they have each other they will always get through anything and everything together forever and always no matter what happens.
