Man I need to totally commit to Jesus, that line he just said really hit me how it’s harder when you don’t commit. Gonna make some changes thank you Phil! Semper Fi
Your comment caught my attention. I am committed to Jesus Christ, In my younger years, I strayed a bit, but I have always been committed to never deny my belief in the LORD. Only another Marine would know this, but during those long weeks of Recruit Training, especially the first few weeks of T-days, actually most of First Phase, one says to himself, "What have I got myself into". The word "homesick" does not do justice to the forlorn feeling that hits you when you hit the rack at night. So at night just after hygiene inspection, I pulled out that little Gideon Bible that the Gideon Society folks handed us as we were getting in the bus from the MEPS Building enroute to MCRD. Even though I was a devout Roman Catholic and attended 12 years of Parochial school, not once were we ever encouraged to read or directed to read the Bible. Once I started reading that little New Testament, especially the four Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, it was a sudden enlightenment that I may be practicing a false religion of the RCC. But as you know, in the middle of Recruit Training is not really a time where you have much time or resources or the mental flexibility to do deep soul searching and change your basic faith foundation over night. But starting to read that Gideon Bible 10 minutes a night and while in formation after chow was enough to set me searching for the truth. A few years later, after researching the history of the RCC and studying the Bible, especially Revelation 13 and Revelation 17, I renounced any membership or alignment with the RCC and became a Born-Again, Bible Believing Christian. As you know, old school Marine D.I.s made an art-form of cussing. Their cussing did not intimidate me, but I was in wonder how they could 'creatively' sequence phrases and cuss words that actually amused me. After a tour in the Marine Corps in the early 1980s, I later became a 'zero'(officer) and flew C-130s in the USAF. Even as an Air Force officer, I always carried myself as a Marine. To this day, I claim the Marine Corps as my tribe. But old habits die hard and I still have Marine Corps mouth, especially when frustrated with the degrading state of affairs in America and the self-emasculation of the American Male. I don't drop GDs or JC, in fact I never do and I try not to cuss in mixed company, but there are the exceptions when the F-bomds and C-skrs and assorted other off-color words flow like a river. That being said, I am going to TRY and curb my expletive remarks and TRY to keep it family friendly. Good luck in your return to the LORD. You can do it!
I just saw Duck Dynasty for the first time 3 months ago & I have watched every single episode in less then one month 🤣🤣🤣 I need it back. Amen to you & your family. Yes I will bow before God
My mother picked cotton like Phil, My Grandpa was 17 years old and served at the Battle of Okinawa. I really like this son that gave the questions. He's bringing us the good stuff.
My dad went in the US Marine Corps at seventeen! 6 weeks basic training shipped out on USS President Polk then welcome to Guadalcanal!! He was a proud Marine and when he died at the age of 54 he told me to put him where he should have been a long time ago with his buddies at Arlington..
My father was 18 years old when he was on Okinawa and fought and was wounded in the battle of Hacksaw ridge. He left for war as a non believer and came back home aboard a red cross ship with a bible in his hand. He passed away in 2003 and before he died he said he made a lot of promises to God during that battle and was proud that he kept his word.
@@jewelbrie1555 Phil Robertson the pervert said " Marry girls when they're '15 or 16,' said 'Duck Dynasty' star " so they can be like his dog and carry your ducks and blow your Duck whistle ! Are you really that stupid not to know a pervert when you here one ?? Your buddy Phil.... "They got to where they're getting hard to find, mainly because these boys are waiting 'til they get to be about 20 years old before they marry 'em," Robertson says in a video clip that resurfaced Monday. "Look, you wait 'til they get to be 20 years old, the only picking that's going to take place is your pocket. You got to marry these girls when they are about 15 or 16. They'll pick your ducks."
I saw Phil’s book at Costco a few weeks ago and I haven’t had much chance to read it. So I’m only on the 3rd chapter but it’s already one of the best books I’ve read.
Valdis Stocking you’ll enjoy it a lot! I struggled reading it during free time (something a first year teacher and parent of 3 doesn’t have much) and during the summer I finished it! Great book, and one of my favorites!
I think Duck Dynasty is great Show. But the sad news is I don't have a TV no more. But I so thankful that I can watch it on my phone. Great Show. And GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILES!!! Love you Karen Bird, one of your biggest Christian Fans
When my uncle was 16 he lied his age and joined the Navy during world war two.the ship he was on was bombed. After he left the Navy he joined the coast guard and retired as a chief petty officer.

"I'm a C+ man." I love that! Humble. Not arrogant... but a smidge better than average. Funny. Smart. I'm betting I'll love this book. Phil is my wife's favorite 'character' on the show. Mine too I'm thinking ...
Like Chester Proudfoot (played by Parley Baer) said on the original radio show of "Gunsmoke" when his new pet dog kept biting him. Chester simply responded that "don't worry, he'll come around!"
We count time by him. They ain't gonna count time by me or you. There has to be a reason for it... I never thought about it that way. If any of you are looking for a role model, I would say follow Phil Robertson
I met this man and his family many years ago. Back before they became so famous. Trust me folks what you see is what you get. He was preaching Love God and Love your Neighbor way before Duck Dynasty. Probably been 20 yrs ago now.
God Bless America 🇺🇸 and the Rule of Law. Kudos to all Service folks defending our Liberties and Freedom from Foreign and Domestic entities all day long in Christ Jesus Name Amen 🙏.
