DJ ultimately is the scapegoat of this season but do not forget who was calling the plays. Look at the receipts. From 2009 onwards, every offense the Daboll coached was trash. It took a talent like Josh Allen for Daboll's offense to finally do something out of nothing. If we are in full tank mode, I don't want Daboll anywhere near that rookie QB. 2009-2010 Browns - QBs avg sub 200 yards passing per game 2011 Dolphins - QB sub 200 yards passing per game 2012 Chiefs - QB - sub 200 yards passing per game Only time Daboll had any offensive success was with a talent like Josh Allen. He is not an offensive genius nor a QB whisperer. DJ has his deficiencies but he was not this inept when Kafka was calling plays. I get it that Daboll can't hand back to Kafka the playcalling duties and most likely Kafka will be gone by the end of this season. So for us Giants fans, we have a lot more problems to worry about besides finding DJ's replacement.
Propping up substandard QBs since Eli Manning stopped being good in 2014 has poisoned the team. Always look at the Packers and never do anything the opposite way to that.
@@didgruntleddansnyderfanpackers havent beat us in years. Please tell me again , how many sb do they have in the last 20 years? Yeah, we were bad WITH eli. You must not know.
@@ajkareem5685 No, but they know how to move on from old QBs. The Giants do not know how to move on from old QBs. Are you pretending to be stupid, or is it an organic process?
He was using the running back until it was 14 nothing. You have to get Jones in rhythm at that point to have a chance. What you gonna run out the clock trying to run the ball? We have the worst fan base.
Exactly my thoughts. Run the ball. Tyrone Tracy is a stud. I'm thinking run run run to wear the Eagles defensive line, so in the second half we can pass block better. Daboll doesn't run the ball. Just wants to pass the ball, and their line wore our line out. I just don't get it with Daboll.
The defensive pieces DO NOT matter because we are not close as a team. We are not even a year away, so by the time we are ready to really compete, these defensive players will be old.
@@jefffuller9918 Usually I would blame the scheme fit, but I'm not even sure Daniel Jones fits any scheme these days. And I'm not actually sure what the Giants are even trying to do with him anymore. It looks sort of west coasty, but not really. Some of the designs are interesting, it's just that Jones doesn't do any of it so you have to go into the all 22 to find out what the non-implemented plan might have been on nearly every play. I'll tell you this, watching Daniel Jones for the last six years gives me hope for my own career as an NFL starting QB. Put me in coach! 50 years old, have never played QB before and destroyed my knees doing sports, but I'm ready! Hut hut!
I don't think the giants are going to play back to back lousy games. We're going to look like a different team monday. Is it going to be good enough to beat the steelers?I don't know but we're going to have a chance.
I didn’t think the Giants could get any worse. Don’t know how they’re going to climb out of this hole. We may be looking at a new regime next season. At this point, I’ll welcome it.
Daniel Jones is 1-14 & will be 1-15 in prime time games after Monday night & hasn’t thrown a TD pass at home since 2022. I don’t see how ANYONE with half a brain can continue defending this guy.
Maybe you should try using your brain and maybe your eyes and you can see, no NFL will be successful in this offense. Unless your name is josh allen. And he doesnt come out the draft every year.
@@ajkareem5685 Who’s the leader of that team on offense? THE QB & it starts with him. Maybe you should start using your eyes to watch the games & not your emotions because if you think that DJ is a good QB then you need a psychiatric evaluation. He can’t hit a deep ball to save his life, he’s a one read QB & he has zero pocket awareness. This is primarily why he’s 1-14 in prime time & hasn’t thrown a home TD since 2022. The excuse was that he needed an oline & some weapons & now he has it & HE’S STILL a trash QB. The fact that you’re still defending him shows that you have grown accustomed to losing which makes you a loser fan.
@@ajkareem5685 Up until this past Sunday, the Giants had one of the better olines in the league & DJ was still playing average to below average football. Now all of a sudden the reason why DJ is bad this year because THIS PAST SUNDAY the oline wasn’t good? Give me a break. Everybody in that Giants building knows DJ is no good. Listen to the reason Daboll gave as to why he benched him. He said the offense needed a “spark”. That’s all you need to know on how they really feel about DJ as QB & I don’t blame them.
Daboll has no answers to the questions. He looks like he has quit on the team. Washington Commanders prove you will get much better when you get rid of everybody, including the owner.
Jones can't throw over 20 yards. He needs the wr to stop running to throw an accurate pass. This is why 90% of passes go to the curl route. Giant fans continue to show they have no clue about the game. Fans say Jones just needed a line and a wr1 to be elite lmao.
This is one of many arrows pointing at the coach. They are not focused, buttoned up, and have play with no dignity. Its like the young players aren't learning anything in film. I still think djs awkward looking footwork can be coached out of him. Sadly we'll never know until he moves on or it leaks out. For over 10 years this organization doesn't hate losing.
Yet when you cut linemen, receivers and running backs or fire coaches they all do better elsewhere. Look at Bobby Johnson, the guy you scapegoated for Daniel Jones last year coaching a top five offensive line of rookies and retreads in Washington right now. Or look at people like Ereck Flowers, who you tarred and feathered before that who went on to be solid in DC and Miami. Oh, and when you did try another QB you won games while no one complained about the offensive line or anyone else last year. Why? Isn't that direct evidence that the problem is not the line, receivers and backs, or coaching, but Daniel Jones? See, this is why people prefer youtube content creators sitting at home in their underwear to you, Phil Simms. You're just not believable.
Listening to people like Phil, bob papa and Carl banks, there is a huge difference in analysis than listening to “amateur” RU-vid guys like bad dog and talkin giants. It appears that the pro analysts break down the details of the game, and the amateur RU-vidrs talk about dj for 30 minutes.
Grateful this is the last year of bum ass Jones, but highly doubtful that Joe can replace him with a franchise qb any time soon. This past draft was his best time to do so... I would imagine he'll be getting fired after the qb he drafts shits the bed. Would be a shame, because we do have some talent in this front office.
